The BofA tower was a tradmark of the banks presence in uptown Charlotte which at 871 feet tall is currently Charlotte and NC's tallest skyscraper. The tower has 62 steel rodes of varing hights which make up the crown ontop. The building is 60 stories tall and was completed in 1992 in a race between First Union and BofA to have Charlottes tallest which has been flipping back and forth since the early 70's. This was the tallest building built in charlotte during the 90's. It is headquaters to the worlds largest bank.
