many of you have shown an interest in seeing the changes i've made to the LK FI series. the more major changes are to oct., nov. & dec.. if you're interested in a copy of just the changes, please use the link at the bottom to e.mail me. please do not e.mail me for a copy of the charts; that's copyright infingement and illegal.

i added tufts of hair to the chick. i also used one strand of black to backstitch around the animals' eyes; a plain X makes them look dead to me! LOL!

the stripe on the sailboat was changed to yellow; the same yellow used for the firecracker sparks.

i changed the color of the ladybug to a deep red.

i added two long stitches to the middle book to create a binding. i used the same color as the book on the right.

i stitched the bat entirely in black. then i added gray long stitches for the wings' finger bones. i added gold seed beads for eyes.

i changed the lettering because the original V looked like an R. the V now looks a bit like the corn husk.

i changed the lettering because i did not like the original C. the skate now has a defined heel and toe. i added a bow to the skate. i shortened the present to make room for the extended skate. i made the present's bow yellow because there was too much white in the picture. i also made the present red & purple instead of 2 shades of red. and lastly, i added one more gold stitch to the top of the ornament.

i hope you like the changes and i'm glad to share. however, i hope more that this has inspired you to alter other patterns that you stitch to suit your own preferences and spark your creativity. as you can see, i've started small, but now i'm less afraid to stray from a designer's model.
