bent creek's "friends gather". i used WDW "dolphin" for the lettering.
lizzie*kate's "bless the graduate" snippet. done for a co-worker's son.
cricket collection's "angels aware" for my friend nancy who moved to PA.
close up of "angels aware"
LK's "cross stitcher in residence".  i added a small pineapple charm (i'm not using the recommended heart). the yellow window is a late night for me stitching and there is smoke coming from the chimney. all my additions.
"thwack biscuits: take one can of biscuits, Thwack on edge of counter-Bake in a 400' oven-Serve in a fancy basket." bread cover made for my cousin.
bent creek's "hospitality knocker"
this pin cushion was a gift from my friend nancy. i helped her finish it so both our names are on it.
a quilt square for joanne at 123Stitch;  one of the nicest ladies in XS!
thank "ewe" card for family friends in WI who own a sheep ranch.
scissor fob made for my friend kate's birthday. i filled it with lavender.
to the left is a beautiful afghan s. sommer made for me and DH for our wedding. it's just beautiful and very warm! this thank you (right)  was made into a card for her. it is a HIH freebie called spring that i recharted to read thank you. thanks to pricilla in FL for the fabric! 2004.
the piece on the right is Race Lover by Candimar Designs. the piece on the left is my version. i thought "race lover" sounded campy so i recharted the title. all the items in the boxes had 1/4 stitches added to round out the look as well as 2-strand backstitching to everything to make them stand out. i added 2 more word breaks at the bottom. i also recharted the checkered flag to make it look more authentic. this piece is for my cousin for Christmas. 2004.
above left you is the underside just flipped over so you can see it. the right side is the top: an alternating diamond/criss-cross pattern and a popcorn-like pattern.
i'm so proud of the lacing job i did on the back, but no one will ever see it! LOL!
this is a bread cloth made for a Christmas gift. 11.2005
this Chinese Hello Kitty hand towel is also a Christmas gift.
