       PLOT
      I have to admit that this movie though good, it had a much freakier feel           in theaters. It is still really cool on DVD. Under Racoon city, in a seceret
       underground lab, a virus is set loose. The labs computer senses this and
       traps everyone inside and kills them.
          Alice wakes up in a shower not knowing who she is and where. She
       soon meets Matt and the commandos. They lead her into the lab where
       they find Spencer.
           Soon enough a bunch of people die and the zombies come out. These
       are the most awesome zombies you'll ever see. Alice discovers she can
       kick zombie butt and lots o' action ensues. Then some of the commandos
       get zombified too. The movie does get a little confusing with some of                the amnesia stuff but not much. It has a very good ending to boot, that             leaves the movie open for a sequel. I also have to applaud this movie for           using the Brotha rule. Yeah.

       SFX
       Very good for a horro movie. The zombies have small CGI disformations
       that make them look super Kewl. There is a scene with lasers that you
       have to see. Think of human sushi. All the giant monster CGI (which               there is very little of) is top noch. It has a surreal quality that makes
        it look almost like clay mation. I mean that in a very good way. Oh yeah           the zombie dogs are so awesome; that I can't really even describe                     how awesome they are. But, I will say that they have their veins and                muscles on the outside.

       DVD FEATURES
       Resident Evil is what I would consider the model DVD. Nice menus,
       a commentary, and some other nice features. I thought the commentary
       was actually kind of fun. It was the director, two of the actors, and a
        producer. They seemed to be having a good time even though most of
        the stuff they talked about wasn't about the movie. It is better than some
        other commentaries I have heard. Resident Evil is a DVD everyone
        should have in their collection.

        GORE
       Supprisingly not much but what is implied makes you think it's gruesome

       What I learned
       Zombies can be made from viruses
       Marines can act smart in the movies
       Computers can be scary
       So can holograms with british accents
       I love zombie dogs

       Bottom line
      Don't listen to anything bad about this movie. Escpecially anything that             says the movie is bad just because it isn't like the game. It is a prequal to
       the game so those statements are just people whining. The only thing
       wrong with Resident Evil is that you don't really get to know any of the
       commandos. But connsidering that the movie isn't really about that, it
       doesn't matter. You should see this movie just expecting a good time and
       not shakespear.
