      CHARACTERS
      GR44: Super soldier who just wants to find his home (Van Danme)
      GR13: Super soldier who wants to kill GR44     (Lungdren)
      Veronica: Nosy reporter who serves as the female for the movie

       PLOT
      Back in Vietnam GR44 and Gr13 were real men who killed each other.
     Thgovernment then used their bodies for experiments. They eventualy
     become your every day, run of the mill, super soldier.

    The whole movie is pretty much just GR44 and Veronica being chased around         Nevadaby the rest of the universal soldiers. It doesn't ever really explain why           they'recalled Universal Soldiers though, I guess super soldiers was just old. But        as the audience is treated to a buttload of shoot em' ups, and some fist fights,           things really don't get better than average until the last half hour. Through all of        this GR13 is cuting off all the people he kill's ears an makes a necklace from            them.

    Then there's this really cool scene with GR13 chasing GR44 across a bunch
    of desert ridges. While shooting and throwing grenades. Oh, I forgot that
    GR13 is in a giant mobile operation veichle and GR44 is in a prison bus.
    After that we get a pretty good end fight that involves some dangerous farm
    implements.

       SFX
       Pretty much your standard giant explosions, bullet hits, and random stabbings.
       Though none of it is really cheesey or anything; there is this one scene where
        GR44 is in a motel and is tackling through the walls and that's just kind of
        funny.

        Like all of his movies Jean Claude Van Danme has to show off his butt, and
        that's pretty scary

         I Learned
         When a title is dumb abreviate. Throughout the movie the soldiers are called
                UniSols to sound cooler
          By "HYPER ACCELERATING" something you can do the impossible
          Farm implements are fun to play with

        BEST QUOTE
        "I'm all ears"- GR13 says this after he gets his memory back when he gians
         control of the UniSol command. He lifts up his necklace when he says this.
         It's really funny because of...                          ...it just is.

         BOTTOM LINE
         In my opinion UNIVERSAL SOLDIER is just your average action movie,
         but it was a few elements going for it. First Dolph Lungdren does a great
         job of playing GR13. Once he starts getting his memory back he starts
         acting enthusiastic about killing and makes all these bad ear jokes; he's pretty
         hilarious. The plot is actually semi-interesting and it evolves as the characters
         regain their memories. They change to become different people. Overall
         I did enjoy this movie, but I found it slow in some spots and for most of it
         to just be action movie norm. It is worth a Saturday afternoon rental; watch
         it with some pals and just have a swell time.
