He is nervous About just about everything. Every night he has Horrible nightmares. They are about his PARENTS. He see's the eating something bloody. All his family has had for dinner since they moved, has been "left-overs". He can't figure out what these left-overs are. Sheila gives him the idea to see what his dad does for work. He finds his dad cutting up dead bodies. He finds out his PARENTS are Canibals and he stabs his dad. His mom stabs his dad, and his dad kills his mom. His dad dies, and Mike gets to move in with his grand parents. Special FX Not many except for some human body parts and blood. Some of the dream sequences were pretty good. Such as the blood worl-pool. Gore Human Entrails Bleeding Refrigerator Leg on Hooks Hand in garbage disposal Stabbings Liver Barbequeing Mike eats a poor defenseless WAFFLE Things I Learned Kids were stupid in the 50's It's easy for a little kid to sneak into a reaserch lab Houses can spin around you Human is an Aquired taste BEST LINES "I Burned off all the Fat" - Mom, after cooking psycologist "I got your bed warmed up for you" - Grandma, when Mike is going to go to sleep BOTTOM LINE Parents, is a hard to find horror-comedy, that is kind of slow but has it's moments. The movie has great direction and style well. It's a pretty good movie to watch if you can find it. And next time you have left-overs find out what they are. |
