| John Caprenter's VAMPIRES 4 Cheeses Characters Jack Crowe: Leader of team Crowe, a vampire killing team Monotoya: Jacks sidekick Vamps out Valek: original Vampire Superhuman Katrina: Bitten by Valek and used as a psycic link 2nd Priest/Padre: Helps team Crowe Plot Team Crowe kills a house full of vampires. They wonder why they don't find a master vampire. The master soon comes back and kills the whole team. Only Jack and Monotoya are left. They take Katrina, who has been bitten, and run from Valek. Katrina leads them to wherever Valek has been and soon enough, they find out that Valek is after a holy cross wich will give him the power to walk in the sunlight. Lots of innocent people are killed and Valek gets the cross. Once jack confronts Valek he is captured and forced into the magic ceremony to give Valek the powers from the cross. During all of this Donotoya is bitten by Katrina, who has vamped out. Padre saves Jack, the sun comes up and all the vampires run inside. Jack follows Valek into an old building. Valek fights him with the usual bad guy hurts good guy, good guy hurts bad guy, bad guy hurts good guy and then good guy finds an ingenious way to kill bad guy. Those types of fight scenes are in almost every action movie ever. They're starting to get old. In the end Donotoya drives to Mexico and Jack and Padre are left to kill all the vampires. SFX The special effects were really good through out. Even though the only ones were the gore effects and flaming vampires. The burning vampires were really cool. The director also added some pretty cool fade to red scene transitions. GORE Severed Heads Severed Limbs A guy cut up through his torso Nasty throat rips Nasty Vampire bites Gunshot hits Impalings Lots O blood Things I learned Vampires were created through reverse exorsism Vampire victims have mind links with the one who bit them The Baldwins don't look Mexican, even with makeup Things I Wondered Why did the crossbow arows hurt the Vampires more than the high powered guns BOTTOM LINE I read the book VAMPIRES and I think the movie is much better. The book really didn't have much of a plot and the movie had a good one. The movie is also the fourth best vampire movie I have seen. You should see it whether you like vampire movies or not. Oh and this movie was much better than the crappy book it was based on. |
