Normandy Safaris will take you, each day, to different places of interest in Normandy and, in a group of no more than six (6) persons. It will be as if you have your own private escort / chauffeur
It has the advantage that; if the group agrees, the schedule can be changed to accommodate the group’s requirement, also, that we can stop to take photos on request. And, most importantly, we are not rushed.
Things which are not possible with the larger coach parties.

With the fluctuations in currency values, we especially try to ensure these breaks are good value for our clients touring in Normandy. Spanning 6 days the cost includes:- Pick-ups and Drop-offs, 5 Nights Accommodation, Breakfasts, Evening Meals (apart from two, when we shall eat out late), and all Escorted/Guided Touring in Normandy. The only times you will need to spend some money are; two evening meals, lunches which are usually picnics and entrance fees.

Each unique in their own special way, they will help to make your stay in Normandy relaxed and memorable. This year we are delighted to continue with the enchanting Chambre d'Hote - La Pognandiere.

"La Pognandiere"-
Spacious, light, airy and clean rooms. Each with modern ensuite shower/bath and toilet and, offering kingsize or twin beds, television and Tea & Coffee making facilities.
A large lounge with relaxed comfortable seating overlooks the tendered gardens and the lush Normandy countryside beyond. (See photos)

"Manoir de St Croix" - is a 16th century Manor House standing high on a hillside and commanding beautiful views across the valley of the River Vie. Occupied by the same family for the last 600 years, it is tastefully furnished in period decore and consists of 2 double rooms each with accompanying shower / bath, and toilet facilities.

Sea crossings to, and from, the U.K. take approx. 6 hours
Ferry crossings (Portsmouth - Ouistreham or Le Havre - Portsmouth) are not part of the tour.

It is hoped that on some days, according to where we are, and dependent on good weather, we shall be able to stop for picnic lunches (Ground blankets, hamper, crockery, cutlery, glasses. Not too sophisticated. But fun.). So, bring casual clothes, eg. jeans, tee shirts, trainers etc.

The days we visit Monet’s garden at Giverny and, the Bayeux Tapestry and D-Day Beaches, are long days. This means that you will arrive back at your accommodation quite late (maybe 11.00+pm). On these days we shall take our evening meal at a local bistro / restaurant.
