This was a Second World War drama, a follow on from the writer of Brideshead Revisited. As part of a continuity team of twelve trainee officers I took part in firing range scenes, which involved the firing of rifles and machine guns. It also involved drilling in the main barrack scenes at Edinburgh Academy, and a thirteen-day period at the final training camp in a country house in Ayrshire.The internal dress uniform dinning scene, (graduation scene) was shot in Glasgow as was the hotel scene which was the other shot that I apeard in as a civilian.
