BLACK HAWK DOWN

On the set of "Black Hawk Down" Morocco

Another journey into unknown territory this time Morocco. After a friend informed me that he was off to film in Morocco I caught the first available flight to Agadair in Southern Morocco. "I Wish I had bought a map", not knowing the country I had ended up at the wrong end. After a fourteen hour bus journey to Rabbat (the capital) I set about finding the largest hotel in the area and the production office as these were the starting points to any future hope of gaining work on "Black Hawk Down". Almost immediately I had the good fortune to meet up with a group of stunt men from Czechoslovakia (who incidentally spoke little to no English); they managed to assist me in finding a future friend Nathan Van Arsdale whom I later christened(Haggis)due to his attempts on set at a Scottish accent. He gave me directions and advice which led me to the production office where I met with Billy Dowd (Crowd Casting Director) whom I had worked with on Gladiator.Soon afterwards I was signed up as stand in picture double for the main cast.
