Welcome to Noriko's page
In Japan, I have two nephews, who are my elder sister's sons. Since I'm the youngest child in my family, they were the first babies for me to spend much time with.

When the elder boy Len was 2 years old, he came to my place in Kyoto with his mom and grandma. And we went to a Disney store (just like one in San Francisco). There, He found a big Winnie the Pooh. He was excited and ran to Pooh saying "Pooh!!." He gave a big bear hug to a big bear. Actually the pooh was bigger than he was at that time. That scene was so cute that I bought the pooh as a present for him.
When they went back to their hometown by a bullet train, my sister tried to put pooh into a bag, but Len didn't let her do it. He wanted pooh to stay close to him. So, she held a boy on one arm, and on the other arm she had to hold a big bear. That was a really funny sight.

The younger boy, Sou likes to talk on the phone. When I was in Japan, my sister and I often talked on the phone. When my sister called me, he wanted to talk to me. Every time he talked to me on the phone, he spoke more and more  fluently. That was amazing.

Last summer, we went to a beach near my sister's house.
My husband went with us, too. They like my husband.
The boys were so brave that they could swim to a float in the middle of the bay with floating toys. We had a great time there.

Now, they want to come to San Francisco to ride the cable cars! They saw the cable cars on TV, and they are interested in those. I cannot wait for them to come here.
