I am lost in a deep forest. It’s getting cold and dark and I don’t know what to do. Suddenly I reach an old, crumbling house. I knock on the door.

 

Me: Can anyone hear me!?

I asked. But nobody answered. It grew cold. Now is the beginning of spring. While the sun is rising, it’s warm. But if the sun set, it’s still cold.

Me: It’s cold. I have to find something to be warm, or I’ll die for cold! It may be in this house but, probably this house will completely crumble soon. What should I do?

 I was in trouble. Then, I heard a strange sound. It is coming to me. But I couldn’t move. At last, it appeared.

Me: Gya~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!

It: Gya~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!

 I and it shouted together at the same time. And I started to run into the house. What I saw ran into a bush, too.

Me: What………what did I see? A cat? No. a dog！? No. a rabbit！? No. I saw what was bigger than cat and dog and rabbit. It may be a bear. But……..but it shouted. Does a bear   shout like that? No, a bear doesn’t shout like that. Then, what is that I saw?

 I was interested in what I saw. So I decided that I try to check. I quietly peep at the bush. At that time!!! My eyes caught its eyes! I became frozen.

       10 minutes passed

We still looked each other. I tried to make contact with the living thing.

Me: How……how are you?

It: I…..I’m fine…… A……and you….?

Me: I’m…..fine. Thank you…

 It talked!! I thought. It must be not an animal. But is it a human being? It may be an alien. If it is alien, why did it come the earth/it may come to invade our planet. If it is true, what should I do? But, wait. Just now, that voice was week. (I can’t say as if it were not other’s concern.) Is that really an alien’s voice? No. Absolutely, that voice is not an alien’s voice but human’s! When I thought that, my courage came back into my body! And I began to want to know who there is. So I asked.

Me: Hey! Who are you? You are a human being, aren’t you? I know. So please answer me.

It: Yes! I am a human being! Are you also human being?

Me: Yes! You thought I may be an alien, didn’t you?

It: Yes! You, too?

Me: Me, too!

It & Me: KAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

 We laughed for a long time. After we stopped laughing, I asked.

Me: What your name?

Keiko: My name is Keiko Miyake. What your name?

Me: My name is Yukiko Miura. Nice to meet you.

Keiko: Nice to meet you, too.

     Strange to say, we agreed very much as if we were old friends. And I felt that I have ever met her somewhere. So I asked.

Me: Have you met me somewhere?

 She thought a few minutes. And she answered.

Keiko: No I haven’t. Why?

Me: I felt a little nostalgy for you. Why do I feel?

Keiko: Well, I may take after your friend.

Me: Now I see. It may be true. By the way, why did you go here today?

Keiko: I went here to meet an old best friend, because I haven’t met her for a long time.

Me: I see. Did you meet her?

Keiko: …………………

She just smiled.

Keiko: By the way, I am hungry. Aren’t you hungry, too?

Me: Yes! Me, too! But I don’t have any food.

Keiko: Oh! I have a good idea! I saw an apple tree before I came here!

Me: Really!?

Keiko: Of course!

We decided to go there. And we tried to go. Just then!!!

 The house completely crumbled.  

 

DODODODO~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~NN!!!

 

We couldn’t talk for a while.

Me: We had narrow escape. If we are still there, we must be caught.

Keiko: Maybe………….

Me: Well………. Then……….., let’s take fresh heart and go to eat apple!

Me: O~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!

Me & Keiko: Apple♪Apple♪Apple♪ Let’s eat♪Eat♪Eat♪

We went with song. And we arrived. There were many apples on the tree. All apples were deep red and looked delicious! We ate many apples.

Me: This is very nice.

Keiko: This is very delicious, too.

We had a good time. I thought that I didn’t want to forget today’s event. Then, we slept together under the tree. The sky was very beautiful. The stars were shining. I slept with a sense of relief.

When I got up, she wasn’t there. I looked for her very hard. But I couldn’t find. Instead of her, I found strange arrows. I decided to go as arrows showed. And I could climb down safely. But, who make those arrows in one night? And where did she go? I thought very hard but I didn’t know.

Two of my old friends visited me. They are Tomoko and Aki. I talked with them happily.

Tomoko: Do you know that one of our classmates died the last time?

Me: Really who died?

Aki: I thought that you already know. She was your best friend!

Me: I can’t remember her. What is her name?

Tomoko: she is Keiko Miyake. She died in mountain which I don’t know.

Me: Keiko……………miyake? Waite! You’re kidding! I met her a week ago!

I remembered her then. Apparently, she who I met in the mountain was my old best friend, Keiko.

Aki: Is it true!?

Me: Of course! ………….Well,………..who did I meet………………?
