You are lost in a
deep forest. It’s getting clod and dark and you don’t know what to do. Suddenly
you reach an old, crumbling house. You knock on the door and……
There was no answer. I entered the house. There was nobody.
Then, I found some firewoods. I decided to spend the night there. I started a
fire. And I fell asleep…
I didn’t know how long I had been sleeping. I woke up because
I heard some noise. It sounds like children’s voices. I opened the door. There
were 4 children; 2 boys and 2 girls. I was surprised, and asked.
Me: What’s happening?
A girl: We
came to this forest on our school outing. But we lost sight of our companions.
We didn’t know what should we do, so we decided to look for someone. And, we
found this crumbling house.
Me: Oh, I
lost my way ,too. Come in.
Me: What’s
your name?
A girl: I’m
Diana.
A girl: I’m
Patricia.
A boy: I’m
Edgar.
A boy: I’m
Clifford. We are 8 years old.
Me: I’m
Mary. I’m very glad to see you! I was very lonely.
Pat: We’re
very glad, too!
Di: Oh,
Mary, you look like our teacher!
Cliff: I
think so, too!
Mary:
Really? I’m very happy. In fact, I want to be a teacher. Now, I’m studying
about education at collage. But it’s so difficult.
Ed: You
can be a good teacher! Don’t worry!
Mary:
Thank you, Ed. I’ll do my best.
Di: I’d be
very happy if you are our teacher. Please become our teacher now!
Mary: O.K,
I’m your teacher now.
Cliff:
Mary, is that a piano?
Mary: Yes,
that a piano…this can make sounds.
Pat: Let’s
sing! Mary, can you play the piano?
Mary: Yes,
of course!
After they sang some songs, it became
bright outside. They went out side.
Mary: It’s
dawn.
Cliff:
Look! They are our companions!
Mary: That’s
nice! You can go back your home!
Pat: But,
we have to say good-bye. I’m very sad.
Di: I miss
you.
Mary: Me,
too. But, your family worries about you.
Ed:
Good-bye, Mary. Please be a good teacher.
Mary:
Thank you. Good-bye.
Di:

Pat:

Cliff:

I saw them off and went back to crumbling
house…
Then I
woke up. The sun had risen. I looked in crumbling house, but there was no the
piano. I prepared for getting back.
When I just
left the crumbling house, I found a picture. A woman and 4 children were drawn
in it. A woman was playing the piano and 4 children were singing
around the piano. I recognized 4 children; 2 boys and 2 girls.
