Mary is lost in a deep forest. It’s getting cold and dark and Mary doesn’t know what to do.

Suddenly Mary reaches an old, crumbling house. She knocks the door and……….

 

Mary opened the door and asked…….

 Mary : “Is anyone there?”

but no one answered, so she went into the house.

Suddenly Mary found an old woman sitting on the chair by the fire.

She had white long hair and beautiful purple eyes, and she smiled at Mary.

 Mary : “Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t notice you there.”

Old woman smiled again and said,

 “That’s OK, young lady. What are you doing in this deep forest?”

 Mary : “Well, my name is Mary. I’m lost in this forest, and I don’t know how to get 

         home. It’s getting dark outside. Can I stay here tonight?”

Alex : “Yes, of course, you can. You can stay here as long as you want.

       I’m Alexandra. You can call me Alex. I live here with my grandchild. His name is

       Jack. He will come back soon.

       Just sit down and relax. You must be really hungry, I will make my special

       soup for you.”

Alex is very kind, so Mary has relieved.

Then Jack came back. He has blond hair and beautiful eyes like Alex. He is 10 years old , same age as Mary.

 Jack : “Hi grandma, who’s this?”

 Alex : “This is Mary. She is lost in this deep forest, so she is staying the night. You

        should show around our house after she finishes eating soup.”

 Jack : “Oh can I have some too? I’m so hungry.”

 Alex : “All right, here is yours.”

 Lack : “Thanks grandma.”

        “Hi Mary nice to meet you.”

 Mary : “Nice to meet you too, but were you in that forest just before?”

 Jack : “yes, I was.” he smiled ,”Why?”

 Mary : “Aren’t you scared? I feel like there are many monsters in this forest.”

 Jack : “Yes there are many kinds of monsters in this forest, but I’m not scared.”

 Mary : “What!?”

 Jack : “They are just a naughty monsters. They stay around here and there all day.”

 Mary : “Really/”

 Jack : “But don’t worry. If you sing happily, they will run away from you.”

 Mary : “Sing a song?”

 Jack : “Yeah, they hate to hear a happy song.”

 Mary : “I see.”

 Jack : “You should stay here longer, you can have fun more than anywhere else.

        Can she, grandma?”

 Alex : “Of course she can, you should show her around this forest during the day. She’ll

        Probably gets scared at night. The best time to walk around this forest is during the day anyway.”

Mary nodded. Mary decided to stay here one more night.

Next morning ,Mary woke up with birds’ beautiful voices. There is shiny world outside

of the window. That scary forest has changed into the most beautiful forest. Alex was

right.

 “Isn’t it beautiful here?” Jack came in and said.

 Mary : “Good morning. It’s really different from last night, but are there still some

         monsters?”

 Jack : “Yes, but trust me, when you sing a song, they aren’t going to scare you. Let’s go

        for a walk after we have breakfast.”

 Mary : “o………ok.”

After they had breakfast, Mary and Jack went outside for walk.

Suddenly they found a little monster.

 Jack : “Look Mary, that is the monster. It’s not scary, is it?”

 Mary : “No. I thought monsters are bigger.”

 Jack : “Let’s sing a song.”

Mary and Jack started to sing a song, then monster was surprised and ran away from

them.

 Jack : “See? He ran away”

 Mary : “Yeah, I’m not scared anymore. I’m having fun in this beautiful forest. I love 

         this forest and your house.”

 Jack : “Thank you.”

They came back before it’s get dark. Alex was waiting for them with dinner.

 Mary, Jack : “We are home!”

 Alex : “Hi, how was walking?”

 Mary : “That was really good. I loved it.”

 Alex : “That’s good.” She smiled.”

       “Well…Let’s eat diner!”

Mary told Alex everything what she did today with Jack. For example , they sang a

song in front of the monster, climbed on to the tree, slept under the tree and so on. Mary

told Alex about Mary loves this house and forest.

 Alex : “You can come back here anytime you like.”

 Mary : “Really? Thank you. Maybe I should go home tomorrow morning. My parents

         Must be worried about me.”

 Jack : “Well you should go to bed. I’ll show you how to get your house.”

 Mary : “Thanks, good night.”

 Jack, Alex : “Good night.”

 

Next morning. They had breakfast together and the time when Mary leaves this house

and forest has come.

 Mary : “Thank you so much for everything.”

 Alex : “That’s ok. Please come back here.”

 Mary : “Yes, I will.”

 Jack : “Follow me. I will take you to your house.”

 Mary : “See you, Alex!”

 Alex : “See you soon, Mary!”

Mary and Jack walked long way. Then finally they got to the Mary’s house. But they are

Not sad, because they know they’ll see each other sometime.

 Mary : “Well thank you Jack.”

 Jack : “Thank you Mary. I had really good time.”

 Mary : “Me too.”

They kissed their cheek each other.

 Jack : “ See you.”

 Mary : “See you.”

 

 

 

 

 

Of course they are still friends. You might find friend like Jack and Mary in somewhere,
