I’m lost in a deep forest. It’s getting cold and dark and you don’t know what to do. Suddenly I reach an old, crumbling house. I knock on the door but there’s no answer. I open the door and enter. The room is dark and weird. I find a box in fireplace. The fireplace is not lit. I approach it. I try to open but I can’t. It is locked. I decide to find the key. But I don’t know why I think so.

There are many old furniture. Table, chair, bed and so on. By chance, I notice there is familiar wardrobe. I open the first drawer without notice. In the drawer, there is key, very familiar key. Suddenly, something shone my back. I turn the direction. I’m very surprised. A woman is standing here.

“Mom...”

So she is my mom. But my mother already died when I was a child.

“Are you my mom?”

I ask her.

“Yes, I am. I’m sorry for making you lonely. I’m glad you remember me.

You’ve become quite great. I come to meet you. Congratulations on your marriage!!”

So, I’ll marry next month.

“Why do you know?”

I ask her. But she only smiled.

“Ann, I want to say to you. I made you lonely, I think you felt loneliness and had some hard time. Sometime you may hate me. That’s why when you have a child, you will never give your child such feelings, like I did…..”

“No, I never hated you. I’m proud I’m your child. I remember somehow, when I was a child, you how touch me. Please don’t think so.”

I cry while I said. My mother is also crying.

“Thank you, mom.”

I said. Mom’s shining is getting weak gradually.

“Mom, you’ll have to disappear already?”

“Yes, I have to go. Please become happy. I wish you happiness.”

“Thank you, mom. Thank you for coming to see me. I’ll never forget you. I’ll become a good wife and mom, like you. Goodbye……..”

“Goodbye, Ann.”

We hug each other. I’m feeling mom has gone…….

I woke up to find myself sleeping on the sofa.

“I was dreaming……?”

I look around the room. So, I found a box in fireplace again. The fireplace is not lit. I approach the box and tried to open. The box opened easily in the box, there is a key, a very familiar key. But isn’t a wardrobe in the room.

Suddenly, someone knock the door and enter the room.

“Ann?”

Someone say.

“Mike? I’m Ann.”

I say. Mike is my fiancé.

“Ann!! I look for you a long time. What have you been such a place?”

Mike is excited.

“I’m sorry Mike. I lost my way. So, I’m resting here. And I dreamed. Wonderful dream.”

“How is it?”

One day, I go back to my country with Mike. We’ll marriage tomorrow. So, we go to meet my father. My father is very fine and glad for us.

Then I say to ma father, I want to see mom’s article left behind. I go to the warehouse. And I meet with really mysterious happening. I find a wardrobe. It is the wardrobe which I found in the house when I lost way, which I found the key. I’m very surprised. I open the first drawer. But there is nothing. But I notice the last drawer has a keyhole. I try to insert the key which I found in house in deep forest. Then it opens. I open the drawer. In the drawer, there is white dress. It loves a wedding dress. And I find a letter. The letter said that ……

“”Dear Ann.

    When you read this, you are old. But surely I’ll be not alive. I’m sorry for making you lonely. This is my wedding dress when I married to your father. I want you to wear it. I have never regretted the marriage to him. I want you to think so. You are our girl. I want you to be proud of it. I hope you’ll be happy and go well.

                                              For your mom.””

 

A few years passed.

I became a mother, so I have a baby. I live with Kike and our baby “Nancy”. I name her after my mom. I’m very happy. Always I try to be a good wife and mom, like my mom. It is so hard, but I’ll try to do it forever. Because it is a promise to my mom.
