Most Valuable Mel Right Raptors
Most Improved Lee Harrelson Sharks
Most Underrated Jazz Zapata Dope Squad
Very consistent player. 5 double digit games (14,12,10,12, 10). Averaged 9.7 ppg. Good passer. Good rebounder. Blocks shot. Underrated because he remains emotionless for most of the game, he never looks tired, and he doesn't draw a lot of contact when playing down low (just 2/4 FTs for the season). Played big for undersized Dope Squad.
Best Young Talent Kevin Ladia Team VA
17 years old. Averaged 10.0 ppg off the bench. Shot 16/26 FTs (61.5%). Attacks the rim. Great rebounder and good shot blocker. Runs the floor well. Tall and lean but played big in the low post against stronger players. During playoff run (2 games) scored 20 pts, 9/10 FTs, and hit a three. Also hit 3 threes during the season.
Best Defensive David Errichetto Raptors
Spearheaded Raptors' defense. Very agressive and relentless on-the-ball defender. Very quick with seemingly unlimited energy. Pesky and annoying to opposing point guards and ball handlers. Not afraid to foul. Always outhustles opponent to loose balls. Causes a lot of turnovers and bad passes.
Best 6th Man Kevin Ladia Team VA
First player off Team VA bench. Averaged 10.0 ppg.
A bunch of people suggested we have some type of awards for various achievements during the season. We chose some pretty basic awards to give out. Sorry guys. No trips to Hawaii or anything. The voters on the awards were a small committee of unbiased NAABL organizers who based their votes on what they saw during the season, not how the guys play at the playground or something. I think we did very well with our decisions, but I'm sure you guys are gonna have your own little thoughts. The stats mentioned include only the regular season. Tell us what you think. Feel free to leave your own superlatives on the guestbook. Well without further ado...
Based mostly on stats. The best players at each position.
Since no defensive stats are kept, picks are purely subjective.
*Primarily based on stats. Based, secondly, on team results. Easy decision this year.
*Based on improvements made during the NAABL season.
*Based on game play and props that the player received, which wasn't much.
*YOUNG TALENT=under 21 years of age. Drinking age.
*Purely subjective.
*6th MAN=player who doesn' regularly start when the full team is available.

The best scorer in the league averaging 19.3 ppg. 2nd in the league in threes with 13. Also did it on the inside, penetrating the lane often and causing contact. This led to 32/43 FTs which is most in the league and made more FTs than 2 teams made all season. 74.4% FT pct. is 6th in the league. Scored 71 pts in a 3 game stretch (24, 24, 23). Had 5 games in which he hit 2+ threes. Also played excellent defense, handled the ball most of the time, and was a great leader and showed good sportsmanship. Led Raptors to a 6-0 start.
A good player to begin with but became more of a go-to player for his team in the second half of the season. In his first 3 games, he averaged 7.3 ppg, made 1/2 FTs, and sank 3 threes. In the last 4 games, he averaged 15.5 ppg, got to the line often with 9/17 FTs, and sank 9 threes. Scored 20 pts with 3 threes against the Wolfpack in a close game. Had a 16 pt, 3 threes performance in the postseason. Quick defender.
