02 November 02

Hey yall.  My bad for taking so long on the stats, schedules, and recaps.  But I've had a full plate the last few months but after this week I will be able to dedicate more time to the league and this website.  Thanks to everyone's help the start of the league went along VERY smoothly.  Especially compared to last year.  Last year the refs didnt finish getting paid until week 7.  This year we are all square after week 2.  Good job on the part of the team organizers.  I know its a bitch trying to get money together from some knuckleheads.

The first games were all blowouts but it was interesting to see new talent in the NAABL.  It was also cool to see what kind of teams people were going to throw together.  From the way things look anything can happen this season.  And who knows?  The playoff teams may be the ones that started the season off with a win.

The refs complimented the teams' behavior and said that everyone played clean and didn't bitch... that much.  But of course it was only the first day.  We'll see what happens when playoff time rolls around.  But, in case you didn't know, 2 T's in a game and you get tossed from that game.  After a third technical occurs anytime during the season or playoffs the player will be suspended for the next immediate game.  A fourth technical means you're a knucklehead trying to hurt somebody or whinin too much so you gotta leave the premises FOREVER (or at least until next season).

Congratulations to Wolfpack, Team VA, Raptors, and Maymar for getting their seasons started off on the right foot.  And to the losers:  just because you're getting blown out, it doesn't mean you have to quit.  Walking back on defense can become a habit.

Good luck to all the teams this Sunday.  And, oh yeah...  please watch the language on the guestbook.  I ain't no communist.  I'm all about freedom of speech. But chill with the cursing.  Little kids might be coming to the games looking up to yall and then read some of things yall say on the website.  So just chill a little.  Ferd love the kids.

And always, anyone with questions, comments, or concerns can contact the NAABL at [email protected].  We'll get with you ASAP.
