Here are some pictures of our dogs.
They are Norwegian Elkhounds. the national breed of Norway. They are used there for hunting elk or moose. They track the elk and then bark at it to keep it in one place until the hunter gets there. They do not attack it. They are very agile. They have to be to avoid the hooves of the elk.
They make wonderful pets as long as you don't mind hair! They moult a lot.

Quali is a champion and came 1st in the Hound Group at Crufts in 1999That was before we got her. She is very playfull and very greedy. When she and Poppy play, it sounds like world war 3. They bite each others legs and roll each other on the floor. She charges upstairs every morning and leaps on me in bed. She's like a chameleon; constantly giving tiny licks on your hand.
Poppy is now three years old. In the middle picture she was only 8 weeks. She disliked food altogether and would let Quali eat everything.Mpw she eats us out of house and home. In her first week with us she ate through my Playstation wire and would eat anything plastic. She used to run around with a plantpot on her head but now her favourite game is to catch the water from my water gun and eat her way up the stream of water to the gun. Then she comes in dripping wet. When we started to show her, he had several first prizes and won Best Puppy in Show at her first show.
