I’d like to join the Time team
Said Norman worm one day
And learn about the past
In a very exciting way.
The day the invitation came
He wriggled about in glee.
He packed his bags and with a grin
Said” I wonder why they chose me”
He met his heroes with great delight
Especially Phil, Tony and Mick.
He couldn’t wait for the Barbecue
He hoped he wouldn’t be sick.
The next day dawned on a dry dusty plot
But Norman squirmed right through the site.
He worked and he dug, he scraped and he rubbed
Till an elephant tusk came in sight.
The size of the tusk was enormous.
He couldn’t believe his eyes.
He called to the others to come and look.
Said Mick “ You’ve discovered a prize”.
“ I did join the time team” Said Norman
Reluctantly heading for home.
“ I feel so proud that I was allowed
Now,
When are they going to Rome?”
