SUMMER 2002 - Last Day

This is our final day to be with our guest and must say it has been a most enjoyable week.

Brian will leave around noon and with tears in our eyes we bid him farewell and wish him well with his new venture in life. We hope he will be up again to visit and maybe go skiing. We have some lovely ski resorts near Anchorage and he has expressed the wish try them out.

IS BRENT MISSING WORK???

Brent felt he just had to do some work for "Uncle Bob" before he left. Dad, Richard tries to help - while Bill, Teddy, Vicki and Vannesa watch.

SNACK TIME

Nothing is more enjoyable than having guest who feel comfortable enough to make their own snack. The following pictures show just how much a part of our family this group feels.
(WE LIKE THAT!)

It has meant so much to Bill, having his family up to enjoy a week of visiting and seeing his part of the world.

LOADING THE LUGGAGE!

As the time is drawing near for departure, the luggage is loaded into our camper to take to the airport. Looks as if Brent is elected to store it inside.

I wonder if he feels overwhelmed with all the luggage they are passing up to him!

Bill greets Amanda and Debbie, who have arrived to accompany them to the airport. They have both been very generous to let us use their vehicles this past week. Most of the time Amanda drove her own car, taking as many passengers as possible.

Words cannot express how I felt seeing them drive away. It has been a wonderful week and we hope our guest have enjoyed their first visit to Alaska. But they have jobs to return to and we can look forward to another visit in the near future.

As I had mentioned earlier; our captian "Steve" stayed in Seward for the week to get in some more fishing.
So wearing his "good luck" fishing hat he is off to check it out.

One day he had to fish alone and this is his catch....I'm sure without his special hat, he would not have done so good.

He said it was a beautiful sunny day and he watched the otters playing in the water. This guy looks as if he is saying Ahhh.. good fishing today.
