Saturday, July 27th, brought lovely warm sunshine and a smile to everyone's face! The guys got into their fishing gear, looking forward to getting out on the water.
Steve launched his boat and was ready to head for his favorite fishing spots.
Here is our Captain, ready for the day!
The wind has made for some high waves and a rough ride, but they press onward.
Brent catches one, but what is it? Grandpa next to him says it's a throw away! Oh well, back he goes....
Someone appears to be facinated with the cliffs, rocks and other scenes.
While the guys are out fishing - the ladies take a hike up to Exit Glacier - which has receded up the mountainside.
Amanda - - - Amy - - - Vanessa
As you can see, they didn't go to the top of the mountain.
Below: Amy and Vanessa just have to see how cold and heavy a piece of the glacier ice really is!
Here is Vanessa, Vicki and Amy standing in front of the old glacier.
Notice the silt (dark spots) that has collected from the glacier melting.
After that hike it's "break time"!
Amanda snacks and Vicki reads, while Amy and Vanessa just relax.
Since it was a windy day, the seas were rather rough the fisherman came back early. One of the fisherman had gotten seasick and was feeling rather wobbly by the time they reached the campsite.
The brothers Bill and Richard relax at the end of the day!
