Time and Eternity

I am a part time worker. While on layoff status I find that it is easy for me to loose track of time. I have not pressure on me to be anywhere at any set time and I soon fall into a small taste of what eternity must be like. I find myself eating only when I am hungry regardless of the time, and going to sleep when my body gets tired be it day or night. Time in essence means nothing and even the days of the week pass me without much notice. I pondered this anomaly and came to the conclusion that time and eternity is opposing forces, and that time is but a fraction of eternity like a little bleep on a long straight line. Yah does not operate within the zone of our time. He dwells in the realm of eternity and has His own agenda for his creation. What might seem like a very long time, because everything we know is measured by it, is simply a blink in eternal existence. The Bible calls it a twinkling of the eye.

We are destined to live in the realm of eternity just as we are born in the realm of time. Time is a product of limitation while eternity is timeless. Time entered at the fall of man. Before that Adam and Eve lived in eternity in the Garden of Eden. There is no telling how long they frolicked there before they disobeyed the direct order of Yah and was cast out of the Garden where the Tree of Life is found. They were cut off from life and in a real sense they died at that moment even though it took some time for it to manifest itself in their flesh.

We must understand that this event did not take Yah by surprise. He very deliberately place the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the garden, and he declared in advance the penalty for disobedience for partaking of it. Adam and Eve were flesh and his purpose was to bring into existence spiritual beings to dwell with him in his realm. Adam was in essence the egg of which the spirit being would come. Much like a chicken can not be unless it comes from an egg. What would happen if the egg was eternal, there would never be a chicken. The only purpose for the first is to bring into existence the later. The first will pass away while the latter comes into being. "We see through the scriptures that Yah’s Only Begotten Son came through the flesh of Mary. Thus, we hear YahShua declare, “You must be born again”.

You were first born into limited time in the flesh, but with YahShua's coming, death and resurrection it became possible to be born of the Spirit and into endless life. He further explains, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh(Time), and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit(eternal)”. And again Paul declares, “The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. Howbeit that is not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; then that which is spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy, and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly”. We see from this that the flesh life is but the egg, temporal and corruptible and it is from this that Yah will take his eternal sons. Our earthly birth gives us the ability to live, and adapt to life in the earth realm. Spiritual birth gives us the ability to live in spirit and life, and the work of the Holy Spirit adapts us for life in the realm of Yah.

Time, as we know it, came into existence at the point of Adam and Eve’s transgression. They were found guilty and confess to it. There is a law of metamorphous entered at that point. Adam and Eve were the author of death and it was passed upon all the human race. This was never meant to be a permanent state, but only for a time. It had to do with the limitation now upon the life of Adam and Eve and their posterity. Their time upon the earth became limited and thus time became important because time is the womb of eternity.

Yah stationed a strong angel with a flaming sword that turned in every direction in the gate or door to the Garden to “KEEP” the way to the Tree of life. Not to keep man out as much as to keep it until man could once again enter that gate and partake of Yah’s realm. Yah did not intend for the time limited state of being to continue through out all eternity. He had a plan and in the fullness of time, “Yah sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.” The Law of Sin and Death was to give way to the Law of the Spirit of life as YahShua redeemed eternity for us. Once again man would have access to fellowship with Yah and entrance into the Garden or Heavenly realm where is found the “Tree of Life”.

That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in the anointing, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Yah. In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who work all things after the counsel of His own will.” “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of Yah, even to them that believe on his name, which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Yah”. This was the Plan of Yah for man before he uttered the first words of creation. It is good to know his plan, but it is far better to know his heart and ways. Seek the heart of Yah and you will not fall short of Sonship, but do not let sonship become your vocal point. Make sure that your Heavenly Father is preeminent in all things in your life. After all “HE” is our inheritance, the rest is only fringe benefits.
