WHAT IS IN A NAME
Names in the Holy Scriptures were significant. Most all of the names have a meaning that conveys a message. Yah even changed some people’s names AS a message in the change itself.
The Apostle John stressed the importance of the holy NAME of the SON OF YAH "twice in one verse".
"Because he has set his “love” upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has “KNOWN MY NAME”. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation"!
I am not a Hebrew or Greek scholar but the following has changed my concept of the translations in the Bible for the name and titles of our Heavenly Father and the SON OF YAH. It is my hope that the Holy Spirit will take these words and bring truth to His people.
The Torah and the Old Testament was written in Hebrew. The Hebrew word “Yahweh” was replaced by the pagan name God or Gowd. The proper name of our Heavenly Father is the Hebrew word “Yah” and all that follows this is descriptive of what he is doing or his character." Yah means, “self-existing, or I exist, or I am”. Yah said to Moses, “I am that I am.” The Pharisees changed the holy name of “Yah” because it was too holy to be spoken through human lips. They used the word “G-d” not wanting to use the pagan name “God” as pagans did for their deities. Bible scholars carried this idea over into the Bible translations handed down to us, but replaced the “o”. However, in the Torah and other Old Testament writings Yah commanded us not to forget His name and to speak it one to another.
Yah commanded us, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him. Yahweh says, “therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation. I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. We are not to forget His name and to speak it one to another.
He is restoring lost truths now and it is starting with his name. “Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day(the last days) that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I. (Yahweh), this is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth. Give thanks unto Yah, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Because he hath set his love upon me.
Aramaic was the language of the Israelites in Palestine. Aramaic is a form of ancient Hebrew used widely among Semitic peoples from the 7th Century B.C. to the 7th Century A.D. It should be noted that ancient Hebrew and Aramaic are closely related languages, and would NOT form a language barrier between the two, just as American English and England English form no barrier.
Many people do not know whom YahShua, called 'Jesus' by Christianity, was. People have been taught about the man, but not who the man was. I use the word "was" because the flesh life of Yah was poured out at the cross, and He went back to the Father after His resurrection. YahShua was Immanuel = "Yah with us". People have been given a legend as truth. I use the Aramaic name YahShua meaning "YAH Saves" instead of the Greek name "Jesus".
I do not mean to infer here that the Holy Scriptures were not inspired by Yah. But, when the Bible was translated from Aramaic-Hebrew into Greek all the names were transliterated to suit Greek ideology. The word “transliterated” means, “To represent letters or words in the corresponding characters of another alphabet”.
‘YAHweh’ >>>=<< Yah>> The holy name of the Heavenly Father, deity of Israel, first revealed in the Old Testament.
‘YAHoshua’ >> The Hebrew-Aramaic holy name of the Messiah.
‘YAHShua’ >>> The English translation of Yahoshua.
Now follow through with this and look up the Hebrew word Yahoshua [3091].
Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary #3091
Yhowshuwa
Phonetic: yeh-ho-shoo'-ah
Text: or Yhowshuwa {yeh-ho-shoo'-ah}; from 3068 and 3467; Jehovah-saved; Jehoshua (i.e. Yahoshua) pronounced (Yah’Shua)
The Hebrew-Aramaic holy name for the Messiah is ‘Yahoshua’. Two other TRANSLITERATIONS of the original Hebrew name are ‘Jehoshua’ and ‘Yehoshua’. The more perfect name that the Messiah inherited is His Hebrew-Aramaic name, ‘Yehoshua’, rendered YahShua in English. The modern transliteration in the "Jewish New Testament" by David Stern is Yeshua. Even here it is mistranslated because the name of the Father is not in the name of the son.
In the "Law of names", to identify a son his name must contain the name of the Father. 'Yah', the Father’s name, 'Shua', means saved. The son of Yah’s name is YahShua. The Greek name ‘Jesus’ should never be used. Zeus is the name of the father god of pagan Greek mythology. The Greek name 'Jesus' is; "Ie(Is)", and "sus", means "Zeus". Rendered Jesus in English. Who's Father does this name declare. This is discussed in details later.
There is no question that the apostles and disciples, unlearned men according to Acts, of the Messiah, who were Aramaic speaking Hebrews, knew and called the SON OF YAH, deity of Israel, by His “TRUE” HOLY NAME, which is ‘YAHoshua’= YAH'Shua. This is the "NAME" in the divine plan of “YAH”, deity of Israel, for His coming in the flesh. By no means did they address Him by the Greek name ‘IESOUS’ rendered 'Jesus' in cannon scriptures!
Yahoshua >>= YahShua = Yah's Salvation>> Immanuel - Yah in the flesh
To this day and hour the bulk of ‘Christianity’ is totally unaware of the ‘TRUE’ holy name of their Savior and Redeemer, who came in the flesh in the first century AD.
Countless churches were and are established “In the name of Jesus”! Countless acts of the "Christian" pastorate and priesthood are carried out "in the name of Jesus..." The name ‘JESUS’ occurs numerous times throughout the English New Testament. It is a TRANSLITERATION of the Greek name ‘IESOUS’. Iesous or Jesus is not the name of the son of Yah, deity of Israel.
We must, once and for all, come to understand the truth about the Greek name ‘Iesous’, which we know is the erroneous translation for the name ‘Jesus’ into English by Latin and Greek scholars.
I highly recommend that you check this out yourself. Get out your Strong’s Concordance and look up the name ‘Jesus’. Above the listing of where that name appears in scripture you will find the pronunciation of the name Jesus. Look at it closely. It appears as "Je’Zeus".
In order to establish the origin of the name ‘Iesous’, it will be necessary to understand how the name ‘Ie-sous’ rendered in scripture as 'Jesus' arose.
Strong’s Greek Dictionary #2424
Iesous
Phonetic: ee-ay-sooce'
Text: of Hebrew origin [3091]; Jesus (i.e. Yahoshua), the name of our Lord and two (three) other Israelites: -- Jesus.
The Greek word ‘Iesous’= 'Jesus' is NOT, and I say NOT of Hebrew origin. ‘Yahoshua’ is the correct translation from the Hebrew. Why then is the Greek name 'Jesus' just stuck in the above definition, and why was the Son of Yah called ‘Jesus’ if His true name was ‘Yahoshua’= Yah’Shua? This is the great deception of the Dragon of Revelation that leads every kindred, tongue and nation to worship the beast and the ‘NAME’ of the beast.
Let’s look at the Greek word “IESOUS’ and take special notice of the "S" or "Z" which sounds the same in both the Greek and the English names when translated. The names with "soos", "sooce", "ses", and "sez" are pure Greek endings(Jesus)while pure Hebrew transliteration always ends with an "ah" sound in spite of its varying forms.(Yahoshua) So, we understand that "sus" in the word “Jesus” is the transliteration of "Zeus". The Son of Yah was brought over into Greek as ‘Iesous’; ‘Iesous’ became ‘Iesus’ in Latin, and then ‘Iesus’ in English as well. In the 16th century ‘J’ was added to the English alphabet and to the Bible as well. Thus, we find that ‘Iesus’ became ‘Jesus’.
It is proof positive that ‘Iesous’ is not an ‘accurate translation of ‘Yahoshua’ or any of its Hebrew-Aramaic roots! This shows the absolute difference between the names ‘Iesous’=‘Jesus’ in Greek from the holy name ‘Yahoshua’='YahShua' of Hebrew origin. What was the purpose for this blatant deception? The answer is written in Greek Mythology. It was deliberately changed to make the Son of Yah into the son of Zeus, father god of Greek mythos. It was then carried over from Greek and Latin into English instead of translators using the Aramaic-Hebrew name.
When one is speaking of as the Son of the deity of Heaven, to the Greek mind it is the son of their father god. The Priest or and priestesses of pagan religion recognized no other deities except those of the Greek Mythos. Their false, pagan deity called ‘Zeus’ was their chief god. He was father god of Greek mythos and ruler of the sky(heaven). The Greek believed that ‘Zeus’ controlled the SUN. The historian Homer, the earliest Greek writer to mention ‘Zeus’, calls him the “Father of the Gods of men”. Moreover, as we already know, the true believers in the Heavenly Father, Yahweh of Israel and in the name of his Son, ‘YahShua Messiah’, are to never allow the names of pagan deities to cross our lips. "But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god. David declairs, "Their drink offerings of blood will I not offer(to pagan deities), nor take up their names into my lips.
According to History, in 168 B.C.E. during the Greek occupation of the Holy Land under Antiochus Ephanes a statue of Zeus Olymplus was set up in the Temple. This was the abomination that makes desolate spoken of by Daniel. It was prefiguring a similar abomination that YahShua Messiah predicted would be erected after his day.
We find a spiritual principle in the statement, “The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual.” This principle can be seen through out scripture.
As one grows in the light of truth, given by the grace of YahShua Messiah, and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it becomes self evident that the Holy Name of the Son of Yah, is YahShua and should be use when speaking of Him.
What I find interesting is that no other transliterations of names in the New Testament but that of the Son of Yah points to or alludes to a Greek pagen god. Here are some names of the disciples. The first column is Greek and the second is Aramaic.
John>>>>Yochanan
Peter>>>>Kefa
Judas>>>Yhudah
James>>>Yaakovah
Deception lies in wait upon the unaware, yet revelation knowledge delivers, if it is received. I am always available to answer the questions of a hungry heart. It is Yah's will that we help one another up the hill to transfiguration. However, keep in mind that it is not revelation knowledge that we should seek, but "HIM". Spiritual understand will automatically come as we become more aware of "HIM" and become more like "HIM". Many fall short of full sonship by becoming too caught up in the revelation, and not caught up "IN HIM". "HE" must have preeminence in our life even in our getting of revelation knowledge. I can not stress this enough.

What About ‘Christ’?
If the Son of Yah is translated as a Greek deity then we must in all good conscious ask, “What about ‘Christ’?”
The name or official title "CHRIST", which does NOT occur at all in the Old Testament, but does occur numerous times in the New Testament is in every case the Greek name "CHRISTOS.
Strong's Greek Dictionary #5547
Transliterated: Christos
Phonetic: khris-tos'
Text: from 5548(probably akin to 5530); anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus: --Christ.
The Greek name "CHRISTOS" has the meaning of "anointed". This is a pure Greek name, and there is no effort made to associate it with the Hebrew in any way. The "anointed high priest and priestesses of the Greek pagan religion were called ‘Christos’. It is little surprise then that the name ‘Messiah’ for the anointed one of Hebrew faith is replaced with “Christos”.
Once Again I must state, ‘Christ’ is a Greek word and is not, and I say not, of Hebrew origin. ‘Messiah’ is the correct translation from the Hebrew. So again, why was the Son of Yah referred to as ‘Christ’ if the true Hebrew translation is ‘Messiah’?
Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary # 4886
Transliterated: mashach
Phonetic: maw-shakh'
Text: a primitive root; to rub with oil, i.e. to anoint; by implication, to consecrate; also to paint: --anoint, paint.
‘Messiah’ is the English translation for Mashach. Notice the Hebrew name Messiah and the Greek name "CHRISTOS" [#5547] has the same meaning. It is little surprise then that the name ‘Messiah’ for the anointed one of Hebrew faith is replaced with “Christos”.
Even if the Greeks scholars using Greek alphabetical consonants and characters to translate the Hebrew ‘Mashach’= Messiah into Greek it would appear as ‘Messias’. Correctly rendered so in two passages of scripture in the King James Bible. John 1:41; John 4:25.
The fact is clear that the sacred Hebrew names of YahShua and Messiah were deliberately polluted by pagan terminology and traditions!
The English transliteration ‘Christ’ which means "to anoint" is linked to the Greek word "KRIShma" and is the terminology used to describe the power of pagan deities. It is where we get the term "Charisma" as we now use to describe the attraction persona of a person.
The truth is, that there is absolutely “NO JUSTIFICATION” in scholarly practice or in the strict Hebrew based Holy Name transliterations to support the legitimate use of the name "Jesus Christ(os)" in connection with the YahShua Messiah.
Since the Israelite believers spoke Aramaic in no way did they ever call their Messiah "Christ", or did they ever call the Son of Yah, Jesus, ...EVER!
Finally, we come to those who follow. How did the ‘followers of Mashach’(MessiYAH) came to be "erroneously" called ‘CHRISTIANS’.
Christos >>-<< ‘Christ’
CHRISTIANOS >>=<< CHRISTIANS!
The English name ‘Christ’ is the root name for what are commonly called ‘CHRISTIANS’. It is one of the most widely used terms in all of ‘CHRISTENDOM’.
What then were the true followers of the ‘Messiah’ called? It is clear FROM SCRIPTURE that the true believers in the Messiah were known to each other as BRETHREN, of one family. Also, they were called DISCIPLES, of the same Master, BELIEVERS, in the same faith, and as SAINTS, through their mission of holiness. Those who are called by His ‘HOLY NAME’ are set apart, separated from the world-pagan deities for the greater purpose of the YAH of Israel.
