| 8/5/2003 ****Yeah, so we went on tour this summer...never thought we'd see the day, but we bit the bullet and hit the road. It was a fucking blast thanks to the generosity of all the people who helped us make it happen. (Primarily the Almighty Clay Silva...celeberity roadie...whom many of you should know from such bands as Frankenweenie, The Lumps, and The Hate Mail Killerz.) Big ups to all who booked shows and bands we got down with...Like all first tours should go we had some set backs. We thought we were going to have to call the whole fucking thing off when my van broke down and was stuck in the shop, but luckily Clay came through with his $100 touring machine. So we played Fresno the first night in this kooky Christian ballet studio with some band that sounded like Creed...fucking great. There name was CHANNEL. Watch out, there going to get HUGE!!!! hahaha...fucking ass knuckles. They shut us off 5 songs into our set, and for us that equals about 3 minutes of rock'n'roll....oh well, made it more fun and all the kids thought we were total renegades and bought up shitloads of records even though 99.9% of them didn't even have record players. Fucking Rock. We were supposed to rock out in San Fran the next night with up and comming Charles Bronson worship band Doppleganger...from what i hear, probably the best band in the Bay Area right now...but of course we broke the fuck down before we left the Fresno area. Next was Portland, we appreciate the show and would like to play there again...but woah...it was like playing a small scale woodstock...i dunno...hippies dressed in black on bicycles. Seattle was next and totally ruled, this awesome metal head with a KREATOR t-shirt took pictures of us and was just having the time of his life headbanging to us...so cool (he had to have been 45 years old...) Matt from Deconditioned hooked up this show, totally awesome guy...bought us food and gave us extra gas money straight from his own pocket. Some girls from Boston tried to hop Jon Paul's nuts out in the parking lot cuz he was chillin' in his stripper thong. but Boston girls are squares so they recieved no luvin. We then drove 26 fucking hours straight to get to Denver--The Mile High City. Totally charged it out without a hitch, and got into Denver like it was no thang, but as soon as we rolled into the driveway of the Scott Baio Army house, we broke the fuck down. Engine went bust. Total drag but we couldn't have found ourselves stranded in a better place. The Army found themselves with 6 extra roommates for a week, and for that we do appologize, we smelled, had beards and couldn't control our lust for setting off fireworks all over there house every 37 seconds. We love you guys. Denver show was nuts. Played with our friends, moshed with our friends, and Jon Paul got knocked out during the Bad Brains Cover. He also tried to seduce the singer of the other touring band (she was a totally jolly cute blonde girl...and there music rocked because of this. [Scab Party of Portland]}Zac, Russ, Clay and Justen all got down to the Venga Boys all naked like on the way back to the Army pad and JP sat in dispair over his failures. We also were invited to play their huge 4th o July bash, totally fun. Broke some shit rocked some shit....rock'n'roll debauchery at its finest. So yeah, we were totally stuck there and that sorta ended tour, we got home the night of the Crucial Unit/ DFA show back home at the Che Cafe (JULY 8TH} and supposedly played one of our more memorable shows...i don't know how we were fucking zombies and zac almost passed the fuck out right after we played....i think he was huffing paint in the van or something...bwahahahahahah. The END ****SO AS MANY OF YOU PROBABLY KNOW THE NO POLICY/ ZAC THE CUNTRY WONDER "DEFENDERS OF THE FUN" 7" IS TOTALLY OUT SO SNAG A COPY WHILE YOU STILL CAN, ONLY 500 PRESSED AND WE'VE ALREADY SOLD A LOT OF 'EM. ****NEXT OUT WILL BE THE SPLIT WITH WACO FUCK....GIVE US A COUPLE MONTHS FUCKASSES. ****WE JUST FINISHED RECORDING FOR OUR THIRD RELEASE, A FULL LENGTH EP AT EXUM STUDIOS IN OL' ESCONDIDO. THIS IS BY FAR OUR BEST EFFORTS TO DATE AND WE ARE SOOOO PUMPED ON HOW IT TURNED OUT, REALLY INCREDIBLE QUALITY. WE HOPE TO HAVE THIS OUT BY THE END OF THE YEAR. ****IN OTHER NEWS WE ARE APPARENTLY IN REGULAR CIRCULATION AIRTIME ON 96.9 PIRATE RADIO HERE IN SAN DIEGO ON THURSDAY NIGHTS. SO GIVE IT A LISTEN. THEY PLAY "WRECKIN' THE MALLS" ****LOOK OUT FOR THE FASTCORE.COM COMPILATION SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE AS WELL, WE WILL BE LACIN' SOME TRACKS FOR THAT ALONG SIDE SUCH GREATS AS MUNICIPAL WASTE, ASSHOLE PARADE (UNRELEASED SHIT...HOLY FUCK!!!), SCOTT BAIO ARMY, BRUCE BANNER, NATIONS OF FINK, AND MANY MANY MANY MORE....SO CHECK YO SELF BEFORE YA WRECK YA SELF...YA HEARD? | 8/18/03 ****JP is back in CO, and is lame. he moved into a house that is all 50's style so thats cool, we may be playing here and there through out the year. ill keep you posted. i had to delete some of the guestbook entrys because it got full, lame! sorry if it was your entry. more news soon. |
