Communities Against PAN has been organizing to defeat Proposition 200, commonly known as the Protect Arizona Now (PAN) initiative. PAN requires everyone in the state of Arizona to show proof of citizenship when voting and before receiving ANY State service. It would also make it a crime for state and local government employees to fail to report suspected undocumented immigrants seeking public benefits. PAN undermines the human rights and civil liberties of all Arizonans and increases anti-immigrant sentiment.

We are inviting other individuals and groups to come together to strategize and take action against PAN. Please come to our meeting on August 3rd and forward this message to other folks.

• Register to vote and vote against PAN if it makes it on the ballot

• Talk to your family, friends, and neighbors about this issue

• Boycott businesses that are owned by PAN supporters: Childress Automall (owned by PAN treasurer Rusty Childress), All Arizona Auto, Desert Pond Landscapes in Tucson, Swift Flag Company, Cave Creek Lock & Key

• Contact your local newspaper, the Arizona Republic, or the East Valley Tribune, and tell them why you oppose PAN
