We might be getting Diseases due to a Test or an Alarm (Punishment):

Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, We believe, and not be tried? And certainly We tested those before them, so Allah will certainly know those who are true and He will certainly know the liars. (Al_Quraan_029.002-003)

And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient, Who, when a misfortune befalls them, say: Surely we are Allah's and to Him we shall surely return. Those are they on whom are blessings and mercy from their Lord, and those are the followers of the right course. (Al_Quraan_002.155-157)

Whenever We sent an Informer (before it was Prophet, but now it is true Muslims) to a town, We took up its people in suffering and adversity, in order that they might learn humility. (Al_Quraan_007.094)

Corruption has appeared in the land and the sea on account of what the hands of men have wrought (done), that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, so that they may return. (Al_Quraan_030.041)

And whoever turns away from My reminder (the Quraan), he will have a miserable life, and We will raise him on the Day of Resurrection, blind. (Al_Quraan_020.124)

Let us make Duaa for those who are sick:

Please pray for all who are sick for his/her good health and emaan. AMEEN.
Please pray for all who have tears in their eyes. May Allah give them Saber. AMEEN.
Please help those who are in distress. May Allah help them to come out of distress. AMEEN.

Remember: Only Duaa, which helps calm down spiritually may not work, otherwise there is no need of Doctors and Hospitals etc. Do your treatment with the Qualified Doctors. If medicine is needed you must take that. If it needs By-Pass Surgery, you must go for it without any delay. If it needs Chemotherapy or Bone Marrow / Blood Transplant etc. You must go for it without any delay.

Duaa for getting cure from sickness:

رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

"O my Lord! Adversity has befallen me, and, of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful." (Al_Quraan_021.083)

Duaa to Limit the Burden:

رَبَّنَا لاَ تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا رَبَّنَا وَلاَ تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا رَبَّنَا وَلاَ تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لاَ طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَآ أَنتَ مَوْلاَنَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Duaa for Forgiveness:

لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

"None has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah), Glorified (and Exalted) are You. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers." (Al_Quraan_021.087)

رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

"My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!" (Al_Quraan_023.118)
