To Kiss Upon the Eve

Upon a moonlit, rainy eve
You took upon yourself to kiss.
And when our lips did meet at once
Reflected light of innocence.

You moved in closely, timid child.
With heart of gold, and strength of man,
With lips as soft as morning dew,
As graceful as a dancers hand.

Such short while to kiss at once,
Yet felt so right, in place and time
That we both understand and see,
That I am yours, and you are mine.

But obstacle in love of ours,
Tis premature and backwards stride.
To us, tolerance is the key,
Tis patience true, foul lovers chide.

Upon my brow, you poise your finger
And gently kiss upon my nose.
Preoccupied with promise true
Of feeble girl who frets you roam.

And so you do, commitment falter
My heart is one you wish to seek.
And waking to the rays of morning,
Horizon rests upon thine cheek

Crystal eyes of hope desire.
One day, we shall be given bliss.
I shall sit and wait until
You grace my lips with your next kiss.

And in your kiss, my soul to you,
And in the night, our hopes collide.
For when were free to break from private,
Your worries of her shall subside.

And so I sleep, what dreams may come.
You and I, sunrise, sunset,
Awaiting chance to gaze upon you,
Departing causes much regret.

Think of I when starring onward
Pink clouds of hope, future foretell,
If faith doth work in lovers favour,
It shall cast a lovers spell.

Tis true, parting is such sweet sorrow,
In body, spirit, and in mind.
Love to me is bittersweet,
I pray thee, to my heart be kind.
