| The Strokes are five close friends who began assembling together at the Music Building in New York Citty sometime in 1998 to lay down foundations of a rock n roll band. Members are Julian Casablancas as vocals/songwriter, Fabrizio Morettu beating his drums, Albert Hammond Jr as guitar, Nick Valensi as guitar too and bassist Nikolai Fraiture. After recording THE MODERN AGE demo, it was picked up by the UK label Rough Trade Records, this lead them to open for Guided by Voices and the Doves. After this success they released the IS THIS IT cd that contains the following songs: |
