| There are many strange sightings around the rez. There have been sightings from UFO's to weird looking animals. There is no way to explain what has been seen and maybe there won't be, but the onyl people who know are the ones who've seen them. THE WOMAN One night three women were driving down HIghway 2 just outside Brockton. They came upon a figure walking down the road. Being good people they began to pull over to offer the hitchhiker a ride. When they got closer they saw that it was an elderly woman with a shawl over her head, wearing a dress and carrying a shopping bag. As they got closer to her she turned around and ran towards them. Panicked the driver sped up and ran into her. They were sure thay had hit her head on. When they got out to see if she was dead they saw her running down the road laughing hysterically. They were so scared that they jumped in their car and drove away. No one knows who the lady was or why she was there. All I know is that I'm never gonna stop when I see her. OWLS Owls are said to be messengers of news about a family member. They are very uncommon around these parts but when you are visited by one watch your family very carefully! "One day at my grandmother's house and owl came to sit on the house and hooted day and night. It was very creepy because the way it was hooting was in a very sad and mournful way. The next day my grnadmother passed away. The owl left that day and never returned, yet."-Anita D. UFOs There have been stories of UFOs on our "rez" and it makes me wonder why they picked here to land. Probably because it's very secluded. So keep your eyes on the sky tonight. There was an incident where two women were driving home and they noticed the wheat blowing and there was no wind! When they got a closer look they noticed that the wheat was being sucked from the stems and being thrown them.! Now that would be very creepy to see. RED EYES There are many instances where people have seen the "red eyes". and here are some. There was a story of a guy who went parking past the old slaughter house. They had gotten out of his truck and were trying to make out. When he turned around to give his girlfriend a hug he noticed a pair of red eyes he thought they were car lights. Then he noticed that it was a figure and it was close to the truck and moving along the back. He grabbed his girlfriend and threw her in the driver side of the truck. By then the eyes were almost by the passenger side of the truck. He said it looked like an animal walking on hind legs. oohh My sister was sleeping in her bedroom. I was sleeping on the floor. While she was lying there awake for awhile she heard a voice say "we're going to take your brothers." She told whatever it was to leave us alone. When she turned towards the door she noticed a pair of red eyes in her closet! She said a prayer and closed her eyes and when she opened them the eyes were gone. THE LITTLE PEOPLE "My Grandma once told me that when she was a little girl, about 7 or 8 years old. She lived in the country about 2-3 miles west of Wolf Point. It was just about to get dark outside, her and her siblings were playing "hide and seek" with their uncle. She was chasing her uncle in the tall grass out in the field next to her house. All of a sudden he fell over and she couldn't see him. So they went looking for him. They kept hearing the grass rustling around them and when they finally found him he was lying in the grass. When they went to help him up they noticed 4 little men in the grass. They were so scared they ran to the house. She told me that the men were only about 2 feet tall, and they looked like any ordinary person. They were also carrying little bags. My grandma said they never played out in the dark again.-Laurel E. "WHAT ABOUT MY FRIEND" "There were two women driving to Wolf Point when they noticed someone hitchhiking. So they decided to pick the guy up. He got into the car and said he was going to Wolf Point also. While they were driving the guy started talking. The women thought he was just drunk and talking to himself. Later they stopped to go to the bathroom. When they finished and started heading out the guy in the back yelled "Hey what about my friend that was in here." They sped up and didn't stop until they got to Wolf Point.-Louella D. THE MAN It was summer when my dad and my uncle Monty were drikning at the powwow grounds in Poplar. They had just sat down when they saw a man standing not far awat glaring at them. Monty started to chase him but he man was really fats. My dad got out his gun and shot at him 3 or 4 times. They knew they had hit him because he stumbled w little but didn't go completely doen. While Monty was running after him he noticed something very strange, he had hooves for feet! They don't know what or who the guys was and probably never will. |
