Singing

As I walk to the mic
My steps are strong
When I look to the sky
I know it won't be very long

As I hear the music play
I close my eyes and pray
I'm thankful for my gift
Because of the souls that I can lift

As I hear the crowd cheer
My heart is filled with love
I know that this can come
From the Man above

As I look at every face
I can feel their pain
I hope my voice wil calm
And make them smile again

As I wish upon every star
For people I don't even know
I'm glad I could brighten their day
And that they came to my show

As I walk away from the mic
A smile is on my face
I'm thinking of all the people I touched
Every gender, age and race

This happens to me everytime I get up and sing. I love to sing. Recently I have been going to the bar and singing karaoke. I never wanted to because I thought it was going to be stupid. The first night I went it was stupid. All it was was a couple of drunks singing badly. The second time I went I decied to sing a song. I can't remember what it was but I did good. I even had people dancing! I thought that was cool. Now I go every Friday night with my aunt and try to get everyone else to go also. The one song I love singing is "Dock Of The Bay" everyone loves that one. I sing almost everything except country. I have no voice for it. But everything else is my oyster. lol
