| 1. Another Day In Paradise When I was younger this song used to make me cry. Now it makes me think. It makes me think about the people in our town that actually look like the people Phil is describing. And i do seem embarresed to be around them. They ask for money and anything else. It's sad to know that they need help and i can't do anything. They don't have families that help them and they just wander around. damn 2. True Colors This is a remake of Cynid Laupers' song in the late 80s. I love this song but Phil's version is kinda boring i like Cyndi's better. 3. Easy Lover (with Phillip Bailey) I remember seeing this video in the 80s and loved the song. Very upbeat. The video goes behind the making of the song and the video. Very cool 4. You Can't Hurry Love This is another remake of an old song which is surprisingly good. The original was done by The Supremes and i love Phils version. This video just had him singing in a dark background. Love the song though. 5. Two Hearts This song is from the movie Buster in which Phil Actually starred. I never saw the movie but i love this song. Another great upbeat pop song. 6. I Wish It Would Rain I love this song. It sounds kinda sad but at the end it kinda gives hope with the choir singing. This song features Eric Clapton playing a very bluesy guitar solo. Then the choir jumps in to help Phil until the end. Very cool song. Love the lyrics also. 7. Against All Odds This is another movie song. The movie of the same name. About two lovers. I love Mariah's version also but when i heard this one again i felt like crying. Very stripped down version that alwasy gets me. 8. Something Happened On The Way To Heaven I remember seeing the video to this song and it won my heart. The little dog in the video is just cute. He tries to get attention from the band only to be shooed away. But he shows them. He plays the piano and the drums which is so cute. I can just hear the dog saying "how many times can i say i'm sorry" i also love the lyrics to this song. 9. Separate Lives I can't remember the lady's name right now but i will later. This is a cute lil love song about how people break up and still remember stuff about the other people. But don't wanna acknowledge them. I seen people go through that. 10. Both Sides Of The Story This is another song about social situations in the vein of Another Day In Paradise. The only difference is this one is a little more upbeat but it packs a very important message about hearing both sides of the story and not juding people. By race, sex or anything else. 11. One More Night This is a good slow song to dance to. Very good. always skip it though hee hee 12. Sussudio This is a tough song to figure out. I don't know what Sussudio means. But it's a cute little word. Good beat also. Reminds me of the 80s. 13. Dance Into The Light This is a very jazzy song. Lots of horns and drums. Very Upbeat. usually skip this one also ha ha 14. In The Air Tonight This is the ultimate song to listen to on a good stereo with a lot of bass. My mom says my dad used to listen to it all the time. So i started listening to it all the time. I had a good stereo and used to play this at full volume. Good thing i didn't blow my speakers. This is also on the soundtrack to the tv show Miami Vice. I love it. 15. Take Me Home This song features my favorite singer Helen Terry. I can hear her voice in this song even with the others trying to drowned her out ha ha. I love this song also very cool. Takes awhile to start. This album has some very fond memories for me and so i cherish this disc. I usually listen to this sond at night or when i wanna hear a particular song. I like the way phil sings and even though he's not soulful he has good lyrics and the music usually fits. |
