1. Emotions
This song always reminds me of summer cause that's the first time i heard it. And it always reminds me of parties. I was in middle school when this song came out and played this single out! My friend Sid had this cd and i used to listen to it everytime i went to his house. He even made me laugh cause when Mariah hits her HIGH note he whistledand it was the same note that she was singing. It was hilarious! So everytime I listen to this song on a good stereo i think of the first time i met Sid and his son.

2. And You Don't Remember
This one is a good ballad and even though i don't listen to it that often i usually remember the chorus and end up with it in my head.

3. Can't Let Go
This was the second single off the album and I didn't like it until i got a lil bit older to understand what letting go was. I knew about SOMEDAY but this song was alien to me. Now I can appreciate the nature of this song. I especially like it when she sang this as the last song on UNPLUGGED. "Even though i try i can't let go, somthing in your eyes captures my soul, and every night i see you in my dreams, you're all i know, I can't let go"

4. Make It Happen
This was my favorite song of the early 90s. I used to play this one out. Even when i'd hear it on the radio I'd turn it up or record it. I usually had this recorded about 3 or 4 times on one tape. That's how much i loved it.  I also remember the video and i think it was filmed in a church. I kinda wish they would've had a choir singing in the backgrounds but i do love the images of kids and adults danging and singing together. When i was going through rough times and kids would be mean i would play this song and knew it was gonna get better. And it did. As i look back now i thank all of the artists who made songs like this. It really helped me a lot growing up and still gets me everytime I hear the songs of my past.

5. If It's Over
This is a very bluesy song that Mariah wrote with her idol Carol King. I like this song because she doesn't sing girly or try to be sexy she does it very soulfully and the ending is the killer. She rings out the note on OVER and then she comes in and says LET ME GO and holds the note on GO and WOO you can just feel the SOUL. I think if Mariah sang more songs like this then she could make it but noe she sings all out of breath. I think the only one she has sung like this one is BRINGING ON THE HEARTBREAK. That is one where she lets loose again.

6. You're So Cold
Here is another bluesy intro to this song where Mariah won my heart. The intro starts off slow and when she says Cold and you can hear all of these other voices including her HIGH note. And the so0ng kicks off to a rockin beat. I used to sing this song when i would walk around and I thought i sounded just like her only a a couple notes lower. I don't think I or anyone else could hit her HIGH note. ha ha Maybe if I had training i could but not lately.

7. So Blessed
This has to be one of my favorite BALLADS! I absolutley love this song! The lines that always gets me is "prescious one don't ever leave me" her voice on that line is very pleading and i always have to sing with her everytime. My mom also loves this song. She says this is before she became a punk. ha ha I like some of her new material today but i think she needs to open her voice more and write more songs like this. Only then can she redeem herself with me.

8. To Be Around You
This is another summer song for me. The intro is just her and a piano and then kicks into high gear with her wonderful background singers which featured Kelly Price and her sisters. A very cool group of BIG girls who can SANG! I also love the ending of this song cause it sounds like it's at a summer barbecue. You have people chatting and laughing. It always makes me wish for summer during the winter time or at least a good party to lpay at.

9. Til The End Of Time
This is a very cool ballad where is fades in with Mariah singing "Ooh ooh ooh love you til the end of time" and when she finally gets louder the music stops then starts again with her humming along. The lyrics are very good about loving someone until the end of times. This would be a good ballad to slow dance to with someone you love. I especially love the bridge as she lifts her voice and then brings it back down. then when u think the song is over the background singers some in and then the drums come in and take the song home. Very good. This is a very good song to listen to on a good stereo system when the drums come in. Outstanding!

10. The Wind
No this is another slow ballad about someone who has passed away. It starts out with the sound of wind and the piano starts. It's a very jazzy song. Like something you'd hear at a coffehouse. Mariah doesn't go into very much vocal dynamics until the end of the song. I just love the lyrics to this song. The music is too depressing for me though. Not a very good way to end this album but hey it's already made ha ha.

This album is a part of my past and I will always remember the songs and the videos. The remixes i havn't heard from this album are Make It Happen which sucks because i love this song. But i will find them someday. Just wait and see.
