| When I heard that Mary was coming out with another album I thought man this girl is on a roll! She had just done the VH1 Divas Live and now another album, whoo girl! I think this album is great! It's very versatile in that she can go from feeling emotions very quickly. She starts off with "Don't Go" in which she pleads her man not to leave her. Then goes into getting mad with "Not Today" which features the fabulous Eve and is featured on the movie soundtrack The Barbershop 2 along with a cute video with Mary and Eve driving around and with a couple of the cast members from the movie. The first single from the album was "Love @ 1st Sight" and I have the single which features a remis of the song along with the video to the song which i think is cool. One song I found very powerful was "Friends" because at the time I was going through a little spat with someoen I thought was a my friend but she just dogged me so this song helped me through and gave the strength to stand up for myself and be careful of who I pick as my friends. On the lighter side Mary sings "Feel Like Makin' Love" and no it's not the rock classic. It's a sensual ballad that mary sings to her man about what she wants to do. Make Love. It's a very good song with the usual Mary ad libs at the end. Another good song is the spritual "Ultimate Relationship (A.M.)" I thought this one was going to be about another man and it was but it wasn't sensual it was spiritual. In this song she sings about the "the way you hold me in the A.M." and she's singing it to none other than.....Jesus. I thought for sure this is another sex song but it's about talking to praying every morning and talking to God about the day. It's a very good song to wake up to. I put it on one morning and woke up feeling good which doesn't normally happen ha ha ha. So all in all I love this album along with Mary's others and I encourage you to pick up this album and get down with Mary. |
