| When I heard that Mary was coming out with an all-dance-remixes album I was eccstatic! I knew I had to buy this album because 1. I love dance remixes of songs and 2. I love Mary J Blige!! So when I bought it I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Right when i heard the first song which is my favorite. I knew i was in for a treat. All of these songs are in there extended remix state. Which means that they are more and five minutes exculding "Never Been" and "Give Me You" They chose the material from SHARE MY WORLD, MARY and NO MORE DRAMA. They didn't include songs from MY LIFE and WHAT'S THE 411? but the latter had it's own remix album. I thinkt hey could've added songs from MY LIFE but i guess they didn't want to veture that far back. Oh well the tracks they included are very worth the cost. Now all of these songs were never meant to be dance songs but when you hear how the remix porducer recontructed them they sound like they belonged on the dancefloor. To main ballads that i think went very well are "He Think I Don't Know" and "Your Child." The latter has a very good bass line along with cool audio effects. "Give Me You" another ballad has some very good treatment. I heard the radio version on MTV and wanted to get this remix. So glad i have it know and it's even extended! All in all these songs are very well remixed although some people might think they are a bit too long (No More Drama tops with nine minutes). So for all of you die-hard Mary fans or fans of extended remixes pick this album up and GET YOUR ASS ON THE DANCEFLOOR!! |
