| This album I plan to get but I have heard every song on here. They are all featured on the QUEEN OF SOUL box set and have heard the song "Hello Sunshine" on my launchcast radio and I like it. This album had a couple of hits off of it. "Think," "See Saw," and "You Send Me." The latter is a song that Sam Cooke has done earlier and had a hit with. Here Aretha gives it her all (as usual) and i think she does justice to the song as well as Dionne Warwick's "I Say A Little Prayer" which I think shadows over the original. The concept of Aretha singing the background part is awesome! I personally love "I Can't See Myself Leaving You" This song has helped me out through relationships and how i will deal with them in the future. Aretha deals with how it is when you know that the man you love is chaeting but you don't wanna leave him. Many of these kinds of songs that Aretha sings are very insightful because you can feel that she's talking about something close to her heart and it's hurting her. She doesn't try and sugar coat her feelings in the music and you can sense that in the heartbreakin songs. So keep on feelin' it 'Ree we're still listening. |
