| I remember whn I first bought this album. I thought it was going to be Aretha 1986 but got this one instead. I guess that album is no longer in circulation but you can find it on Ebay or any other bargiain bins. When I got this album I only knew two songs on it. "Come To Me" (which is on the Through The Stom album which i think is weird but maybe she needed a filler. "United Together" (I had heard this song on a K-Tel record called Certified Gold and wore this song out!) The other songs i came to like especially "Can't Turn You Loose" which is what I recognized as the song for the Blues Brothers! ha ha Aretha sis some jammin on that track. I also knew "What A Fool Believes" and love Aretha's take on it. The one that I really came to love was "School Days" because I was in school and knew all about "See what it really is we had a lot of fun And I remember that very special one See him walking in the halls when classes would change And I don't think he ever really knew my name" I knew all about checkin out guys in the hall in high school. I would like "Damn wonder what he's like?" I was always dreaming about some guy in school and still do today! ha ha I guess some things never change. I have since lost this cd but still remember the songs and hope to get it again. When I do I'll update this page ok |
