| I had a pretty weak application when I applied.
Well these were the deficiencies Applied a month late i.e. end September-early October (waited for Step 2CK results) No US Clinical Experience No research or publications. No Post Graduate clinical experience (Outside US) No US LOR (Letter Of Recommendation/Reference) Only Step1 and Step2CK scores at the time of application. Step 2CS results only in January ECFMG certified only in end January. Strong points in my application Good scores in both exams Good record in Medical College with a scholarship and CV that had lot of Community work. ACLS certified (not a big deal but still :) ) Became ECFMG certified at least before last interviews and match These are the programs I applied to (90 in total).
