I want to let people know there is more than one way to fight cancer. I'm not saying you shouldn't take medical treatments as I also took chemo, but sometimes it is necessary to try other methods or to change doctors.

My doctors knew I was doing this program. I asked them if it would interfere with my chemo and the answer was no.

My name is Iola Norene Bult. The date is September 30, 2007. I made the age of 60 in July.

I developed adenocarcinoma of the colon, which in laymen's terms, colon cancer stage 3 in 1994. Actually it started earlier than that but exactly when I'm not sure, just that they found it in 94. I thought that the bleeding I had was from hemmoroids, so let it go for a year before I saw a doctor. I kept having more and more problems from constipation and had to rely heavily on laxatives to keep things moving so knew something was wrong.

They took out 12.0 cm of colon in Feb. of 94. The tumor was 3.8x3.5 cm and involved 40% of the circumference of the colon. The mass was 1.5 cm thick. There were several large grey white masses in the pericolic fat, the largest being 3.5 cm in diameter. There were also metastatic carcinoma to one of nine pericolic lymph nodes. DIAGNOSIS: Adenocarcinoma of the colon. Dukes C2 cancer. Stage 3.

That was one of the worst times of my life when I heard that. I then had a talk with an oncologist and he got me started on chemo in June. It seemed like I was always sick and quit after 6 months.

The surgeon said he got everything the first time and that gave me some relief. I started on herbal food supplements after this but didn't keep taking them like I probably should have. I didn't really know what I should take so was just guessing. THE CANCER CAME BACK.

In March of 1996, I had another operation, different surgeon and different hospital. This time they took 9.2 cm segment of colon. The tumor was 7.0x4.0 x up to at least 1.1 cm. Two of nine lymph nodes were also taken and were positive for metastatic adenocarcinoma. I also got a colostemy.

I then started on chemo in May, 1996. I took chemo for a year, once a week, every week. This time I was given Kytril for upset stomach. I also took herbal supplements and are still taking them.

When I went to the surgeon for a hernia around my colostemy, he started laughing. I asked why and he said I couldn't have cancer because sick people don't gain weight on chemo. I had gained 35 lbs. while taking chemo.

November 19, 1997, I had another operation to fix the hernia around my colostemy. The surgery took five hours. and the surgeon was amazed to find no sign of any cancerous tumors and admitted that the last time he operated on me, he figured it was just a salvage job. He said, I should have had some tumors starting or should have been dead. I got rid of my colostemy and got the plumbing hooked back up. He told me to keep taking my herbal supplements even though he couldn't prescribe them for me. He said that they have to be doing some good or I wouldn't be in as good a shape as I'm in.

My last CEA test showed me at 1.6 which is in the normal range and still going strong in remission. I still take food supplements. I followed Elany's program except for the Chapparrall and the Barley Greens.

I also take 300-500 mcg of selenium everyday along with minerals. I take 1500 mg of calcium/magnesium and  eat lots of nutritious foods that will keep the plumbing working. I thank the Lord above for finding it in his heart for giving me more years everyday. Through all of this, I tried to keep an upbeat attitude and I think that has also helped.
Here it is October, 2007. I'm still in remission and still doing well. Doctor once again gave me a clean bill of health. When I go into the Doc's office, he just shakes his head and says I'm a walking miracle.

Some of the products I took, a person can't get from the same company so I had to look other places for products to replace them. Here is the program I followed. Elany, a friend of mine sent this to me along with her story.
