This fish is arguably one of the most stunning livebearers. A full grown male in particular. With a sword easily as long as the body, and a stunning dorsal fin to boot this is truly a spectacular sight. They are not much harder than normal swordtails and seem to prefer cooler temperatures(60-75 range). They do, however, need good diets and large tanks in order to grow to maximum potential. If you are looking for a centerpiece for a large river or planted tank, give this fish prime consideration. Females give birth to young which are usually ignored and can be grown up in the parents take if it is heavily planted.
