5H4H meeting: April was pretty busy so we did not have a meeting, although we had a homeschool activity, going to the "Arithmeticks" exhibit at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum, thank you to Christine for suggesting it and helping with some of the problems.
Our March 15th 4-H Service Project at the Red Cross office in Kalamazoo had something for everyone, all ages. Thank you Marisol for arranging it with the Red Cross! And thanks to Brenda for the interesting demo at the "Choking Charlie" booth. We also enjoyed the tour of "ERV", the emergency response vehicle. We all learned a lot.

Our first 4-H Auction included items donated by the Holmans, Taylors, Bryants, Gronigers, and Rockenbachs.

Courtney Rockenbach attended 4-H Capitol Experience in March, traveling to Lansing, touring the Capitol and meeting with Legislators and will talk about it at a later meeting.

Wildflowers Project: Courtney is the teen leader for our Wildflowers Project. The first meetings were great, we went over local flowers and endangered flowers that cannot be picked. Hayden reported seeing Ladyslipper along the Kal-Haven trail!
E-mail Courtney if you want to join or to know more about the wildflowers project. Email

5-H 4-H project leader list.
The February issue of the '4-H Family News' printed a list of all the people who have volunteered as project leaders, including a few people from our group, but they are not necessarily projects that are being done right now. They are the things we have signed up for as leaders. There are also more projects that leaders in other groups are offering, and anyone can sign up.
