| Excuses Excuses ..... |
| It seems these days no body is to blame for anything at all, it's always someone else ! |
| I realize, I have been going through life blaming everything and everyone but myself and I know I am not alone. I have never seen any person arriving late for a meeting without explaining how the delay was someone else's fault. And once I begin to notice how pervasive this blame shifting is, I realize it's woven firmly into the fabric of our society ! |
| Drunks aren't just drunks ; they are suffering from alcohalism ! Criminals aren't just creeps ; they are the casaulties of the society ! Kids who do drugs are the victims of dysfunctional family ! Losers are underdogs who were programmed to fail ! In politics it's always other guy's fault...... |
| It seems these days no body is to blame for anything at all ; it's always someone else ! |
| And what's more, If people really find something hard done by when someone else has done something wrong to them, they just can't seem to let go of it ; get over it and get on with their lives....... |
So How should we learn to be responsible for our actions ? When should we learn to be responsible for our actions ? When we will grow up ? |
Parents should start by letting kids make their own choices. You have to start living with the consequences of your own decisions early on. You will make mistakes ; will learn from your mistakes and make better choices later on. Often parents simply tell their kids what to think and to do and then as teens they let their peers tell them what to think and to do. They never learn to think and to take responsibility. |
| So, assume responsibility for earning your own respect and for goodness sake stop making excuses. May be we would be able to learn from our mistakes and may be we would even grow up ! |
