TV Listings

TV Search Sites:
There
are several different TV sites that will search for shows Scott
will be on. I use TV Guide myself, but Gist.com is good too.
DigiGuide I haven't used, but it looks promising.
The only downside of these services is that they are not totally
accurate owing to the fact that Scott is sometimes not listed in
an epsiode he is guesting on. I think that's because they have
only so much room to write each show description and unless a
guest star has a major role in the episode they aren't listed.
Some of these sites require a small amount of personal info to
register you but some only ask for your zipcode. The new one,
DigiGuide, is (I believe) a pay service.
The search feature in on the upper left. It says 'TV Search.' You have two options: show or stars. It's fairly limited and doesn't let you search that far in advance.
TV Guide has one problem that I particularly don't like. They don't list all the channels I get on my current cable service. Most of the shows I watch are on these channels. It's very annoying. Still, it is a good backup searcher and the searches are quick and easy. You can find the search feature in the upper right-hand corner. It's a little button that says 'search'. The only reason I'm mentioning what sounds so obvious is because common sense says that the search feature should be listed under TV Listings. There is one there, but it takes so long to get to it and it's not as simple to use at the one on the main page. My advice is steer clear of TV Listings and use the main one. I found that out through and error and I now pass this knowledge onto you ; )
Another problem with TV Guide Online. I did a search once on three search sites and the sadly no-more TVGrid.com and GIST TV both showed two episodes of Law & Order that Scott was in that week. TV Guide Online didn't. So like I said earlier, if you plan on using TV Guide Online strictly for Scott searching make sure it's not the only search site you use. You might miss out on something.
I don't know much about DigiGuide. I got a real friendly e-mail about it and I'll admit, it does look very good. From what I can gather it is a pay service. It's mostly in the UK and Ireland, but they now have service in the USA. If anyone uses this let me know. I'm curious to know how well it works. And if I'm wrong about the pay service let me know that too. <g>
