Back in Magical Mystery land - part two
By Heather
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wonderful characters that Simon Moore, Hallmark, and NBC own: Wolf, Virginia, Tony, Wendell, etc. I'm just borrowing them, but I promise to return them in good condition. All other characters are mine. If you'd like to use them feel free, but please let me know if you do, and be gentle with them, they get angered easily. :) *Also, the title is taken from the Beatles song "Magical Mystery Tour" which I don't own either. So please don't sue me, you wouldn't get much money off me anyway, I have a dancer's salary.
Feedback & Brief Description: Story continuing where the 10k left off. Virginia and Wolf travel back to the kingdoms and encounter problems. Feedback! I crave feedback! Email all comments, questions, and constructive criticism to me at [email protected]
Dedication: To Lindsey, my little liebling and muse. Without her encouragement I never would have written this story. (Love, from Moon Goddess, thank you for being a fellow insaner and follower of the 10k. Thanks for putting up with my antics during hell week at Grove City, "Where does Julie get her energy from?" *wink wink*) Also dedicated to Jo back in merry ol' England. Special thanks to the rest of the PTP crew, especially Gimpy, Ravishing, Vibrator, Porn Star, Dot, Pedophile & Pocket Bitch, and Chops (don't ask). Those 3 weeks were incredible, thank you so much for everything I've had the time of my life. (To Jo: Love from the back-seat Ohio girls, we miss you and singing American Pie with you. Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened. Thank you for being a friend, traveled down the road and back again, *wink wink*).
Meanwhile, back in the troll kingdom...
"Suck and elf!" Burly's bellow echoed throughout the
halls of the monstrous the castle. Blabberwort and Bluebell came
running from the hallway, looking confused and angered. Burly
stood in the middle of a hideous old throne room, holding a
scroll and glaring. "This was just delivered to me, its all
over the kingdoms!" Burly shook the scroll at his younger
siblings. "Its an announcement of the birth of that witch's
children. She and that Wolf are back again!"
Blabberwort grabbed the scroll from her
brother's grasp and examined it, "You're right! Oh that
little witch is back! She's been nothing but trouble for
us!"
"I hate her for what she did to dad! She
needs to pay for that! Its not fair," Bluebell scowled.
"Those idiot friends of the prince were hailed as heroes,
and we were shoved back to this dump. We could've ruled Wendell's
kingdom if it hadn't been for that witch Virginia!"
"I can't believe it. I just can't believe
it! They're sitting pretty in the fourth kingdom, living the good
life, and we're stuck here!" Burly hollered. The complaints
of the three trolls resounded through the throne room.
"We'll get them for this,"
Blabberwort with an evil grin, "sooner or later, they'll get
what's coming to them."

Deep within the swamp, a plan was being hatched...
Eden wandered through the swamp, lost and confused. A look of
worry was furrowed deep on her countenance. The hem of her
scarlet dress brushed softly back and forth on the ground beneath
her. She winded deeper and deeper into the swamp, taking twists
and turns over and over again. She seemed to be walking in a
circle. Finally the realization hit her that she was lost in this
awful place. Just as she was turning around a large tree, she
stumbled on a protruding root and fell to the ground in tears.
Her long, cascading, chocolate-brown hair fell over her face as
she wept. Her curls clung to her skin.
"Are you lost, my child?" Eden
looked up to see the swamp witch's cottage looming in front of
her. She blinked the tears from her eyes as she heard the eerie
voice again. "Are you lost?" Eden gasped as the image
of the swamp witch appeared before her in a hazy mist. Snow
White's evil stepmother held out her frail hand to Eden. Eden
cautiously took her hand and stepped up. "Do not be afraid,
child. I will not harm you. I need your help." Eden still
held her hand, glancing from the enormous jewels on her rings to
her face. "I am dead, but my work in unfinished. The House
of Snow White survives, and now a new enemy has surfaced. My
successor, Christine, proved to be soft-hearted. She failed to
bring down the House of White, and her daughter. Now you will
finish my work for me."
"But, how... who are you?" Eden said
in a trembling voice.
The Evil Queen smiled with a mischievous grin,
"I am Snow White's stepmother. More commonly known now as
the Swamp Witch. My powers are strong, my dear. I am still dead
physically, but my powers and work are very much alive, they
allow me to appear to you in this form." The Evil
Queen steadied herself against a large stone and sat down on it,
motioning for Eden to sit with her. "My dear, I've been
sensing you through my mirrors for some time now. Why were you
lost in such a terrible swamp? A lovely girl like yourself
shouldn't be alone around here."
"I... I can't explain," Eden said in
a slow voice, looking down at her feet.
"Ah, the ways of your heart are troubling
you. I know what you feel, and what has happened to you. But, I
need you to be strong to do my work for me," The Evil Queen
spoke in a calm voice, trying to soothe and persuade Eden to join
her. "Oh, my dear, what is your name?"
"Eden," She said cautiously, tears
still streaming down her face.
"Yes, I was right. You are the one. Now,
Eden, your teaching begins."
"But I'm not sure I can to do this,"
Eden said, her hands trembling.
"Ah, but you must. You will be my
successor. I will give you all my powers," The Evil Queen
looked deep into Eden's eyes with a fiery glare. Eden still
hesitated. "Join me, child, and you will lose your
pain," she said as she held out her hand.
Eden stared at the queen's hand, contemplating
what to do. Scenes of her pain flashed through her mind, as if on
que. She winced with the memory as it polluted her thoughts yet
again. She only wanted her suffering to be over, to achieve the
peace she had longed for for so long. Maybe this was her way out.
Maybe this time she'd be lucky, and she could put her past behind
her forever. Maybe... Finally, she looked up at her with
teary eyes and placed her young silky hand within the shaky
withered hand of the queen.
"Perfect," the Evil Queen smiled
with pleasure.

"Honey, can you bring me Gracie's
blanket?" Virginia called to her husband from their bed. She
was holding their daughter in her arms. Wolf came into the room
slowly, holding Weylin. The little boy was sleeping peacefully,
bundled up snugly in a soft blue baby blanket. Wolf walked over
to the bed with Grace's baby blanket, which was a copy of her
brother's blanket, only in pink. The babies' names were
embroidered on the corner of both blankets. Virginia was getting
ready to feed a very hungry Grace. Wolf handed her the blanket
and leaned over to kiss his wife and daughter.
"Thank you, sweetie, she was becoming
pretty impatient," Virginia said with a smile. She wrapped
Grace in her blanket carefully and began to feed her.
"How are you feeling?" Wolf asked
with sincere concern. He sat down on the bed next to her, still
holding Weylin. "Is the pain any better today?"
"A little, everyday seems to get better.
These two sure put me through the works," Virginia said.
"And to think, I actually thought I would have an easy labor
and delivery," she said with a smirk. Wolf smiled, "You
did wonderfully, sweetheart, and look what all that work got us.
Now we have two healthy, beautiful babies." He leaned in to
her and kissed her tenderly. She answered him by returning the
kiss with passion. They were soon interrupted with a loud,
"Wahhhhhhh!!" coming from Weylin. He evidently had
woken up and wanted attention. They pulled apart reluctantly, and
looked down at their wailing child. "I think he's hungry,
he's just like his father already," Virginia said with a
giggle.
"Hey, a growing cub has gotta eat,"
Wolf said proudly. Virginia gently placed Grace in her bassinet
which was right next to the bed. Wolf handed Weylin to Virginia
so she could feed him. Wolf saw the opportunity and picked up
Grace. She had begun to fall asleep, and Wolf rocked her in his
strong arms. He melted as she looked up at him and giggled. As he
rocked her, she yawned and closed her eyes, dreamily. "Am I
nuts, or is this the most beautiful little girl ever born? She
looks just like you, Virginia." Wolf gave his wife a quick
kiss and then walked slowly to the door."I think we'll go
for a little walk, we whispered to her before disappearing into
the hallway.
Virginia smiled at how adorable Wolf was
behaving with their children, especially Grace. Virginia could
tell she would be Daddy's Little Girl. She looked down at Weylin
who began to fuss in her arms. She rocked him slowly, and sang a
lullaby softly in his ear. He quickly stopped his tantrum and
emitted little cooing sounds as he drifted back to sleep. Soon
Virginia fell into a peaceful sleep, herself, a contented smile
on her face.
When Virginia awoke later, she glanced down in
her arms and panicked when she didn't see Weylin nestled there.
She looked up and saw Tony sitting with him in the rocking chair
at the opposite end of the room. "I was wondering when you'd
wake up," Tony said to his daughter. "But I'm glad you
slept as long as you did, you need your rest."
"How long was I out for?" She asked
drowsily.
"A good 3 hours, I came in just as you
fell asleep. I decided to give you a break and take my grandson
for a tour of the castle. I showed him where I conduct all
important business. But he wasn't much of an audience, he slept
through most of my tour."
"Dad, I'm surprised he managed to stay
awake at all, the way you drone on puts anyone to sleep."
"Hey, be nice! I'm trying to help you
out, here. Besides, I'm not that bad."
Virginia gave him a look to show that she
thought otherwise and said, "No comment." She
gave a little laugh, her father could always be counted on for
humor at his expense. Virginia and Tony turned when they
heard Wolf and Wendell walk in the doorway. Wendell was holding
Grace, and Wolf was keeping a fatherly, watchful eye on him.
"Just came to see how the patient is
doing," Wendell said. "Persephone sends her best
regards, but she is detained in the Fifth Kingdom with a
complicated delivery at the moment. The physicians at the castle
will attend to you for now."
"Oh, well thank you," Virginia said.
"I'm feeling better now, just really tired."
"Of course," Wendell then carefully
handed Grace back to Wolf. He was relieved to have his daughter
back out of Wendell's inexperienced arms. He admired and
respected his friend greatly, but when it came to matters of
infant care, he seemed to be vastly unprepared. Wolf was already
developing an overprotective fatherly sense for his children.
Just then, a castle guard came rushing in the
door. "Forgive me, your highness. I was told to deliver this
to you immediately." The guard held out a scroll of paper
for the King with a flourish of his hand. Wendell opened the
scroll and scoured its contents. Suddenly, he looked up with a
shocked expression etched on his face. "Please excuse me, I
have some dreadful business to attend to," he said with a
look of worry. "Tony, could I speak with you a moment? This
is urgent." Tony nodded and handed Weylin to Virginia before
scurrying after Wendell. Once they reached Wendell's private
office, he closed the door behind them and turned solemnly to
face Tony. "What is it?" Tony asked. Wendell just
looked at him dismally.
