A book fair paragraph: A book fair is a special kind of fair where various books are displayed and sold. It gives an opportunity to buy and collect valuable books at a cheap rate. Every year in the month of February, a large and spectacular book fair is held at the premises of the Bangla Academy. This fair is called “Amar Ekushe Boi Mela.” Actually, it is an annual function, and Bangla Academy authorities arrange the fair in memory of the language martyrs. With a view to collecting some books on literature, I went there.
Whenever I entered the mela premises, I was really charmed by the calm and quiet environment. Though it was crowded with people, there was no chaotic situation there. Many book stalls contained many books like fiction, plays, poetry, adventures, biographies, children’s books, etc. I observed many of them and bought some fiction and biographies. Besides, many literary figures of our country flocked there. They added to the glamour of the fair. I took autographs from them.
In the afternoon, a discussion meeting on the interesting topics of Bengali literature was held as usual. It highlighted the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs of our Language Movement. A cultural function followed this to entertain music lovers with sweet Bangla songs. Many leading artists attended the function in the country. It acted as a soothing balm for many sorrow-stricken hearts. I was spellbound for the time being to listen to the melodious songs. I also became a bit nostalgic, forgetting the hard realities of life.
I learned many things and purchased a few books by Imdadul Haque Milon. I saw him surrounded by a lot of fans. He seemed to feel tired of giving autographs. The importance of such a book fair is very great. It creates an attraction for books among the readers. It also develops reading habits among people. It helps to raise awareness about the importance of the study. I have gathered immense experience through visiting the fair.

A special kind of fair that is organized to display and sell various kinds of books is called a book fair. I visited a book fair organized on the 21st of February last year. It was held on the occasion of celebrating International Mother Language Day. The book fair was born on Bangla Academy premises.
It is termed as ‘Amor Ekushey Boi Mela’, I went to visit the fair with some of my close friends. The fair looked very grand, large, and nice. I went around the fair. I saw different book stalls and a huge crowd of people. Books such as novels, rhymes, adventure series, etc. are available here. I saw the children and the students buying books according to their respective choice and taste.
