Fantasy Cricket Week 19 Update
Lots of movement with three moving down, four staying still and three
getting higher, here we go again with this week’s top three scores:
Top score by Mark Heslington’s “April Showers” and the second best total
from “Read it and weep” by Paul Fearon looks like keeping the mid table
mediocrity match going until the end of the competition .
The third best total by Chris Rowland’s “Nowt for Nowt XV” means that Pete
Blackburn’s “Snapper’s Suppas” move down to third, however fourth placed
“Beached Whale XV” By Pete Willis is only 453 points behind the top spot,
still held by Mal Pinfield’s “Who’s coming second”
With only two weeks left, it’s brewing nicely.
Until next Tuesday at 9.30pm.

Fantasy Cricket Week 18 Update
With one up, one down and eight going nowhere here are the top three
scorers this as Pete Blackburn’s “Snapper’s Suppas” suffer the indignity
tonight of having the circling vultures of 3rd and 4th place catch him.
Fourth place Pete Willis’ “Beached Whale XV” got the second best score and
moved within 579 points of top spot. Owt for Chris Rowland's “Nowt for
Nowt XV “ with the week’s top score and in turn tied for second place.
But 891 points from Mal Pinfield’s “Who’s coming second “extends the lead
at the top.

Nomads lose to big hitting Sutton
A rapid century from Richard Johnson propelled Sutton on the Hill to 210
for 2 off just 31 overs. The home skipper inserted the Nomads before tea
and with only one Nomad in the top 10 batting averages in the team it was
always going to be an uphill struggle for the Nomads to reach their
target. Early wickets meant that the Nomads were soon hanging on for the
draw and some tight bowling by Nujrat (6-34) saw the Nomads dismissed for 105.

Classy Church ton counts for nought
An impressive 125 from Church Eaton's Smith (D) ultimately counted for nothing as
the game was abandoned after just four and a half overs of the Nomads
reply. After a late start and the threat of rain to come later, the match
was reduced to 35 overs. Church Eaton batted first and posted a massive
244 for 5. The Nomads reply started healthily and reached 29 without loss
before the rains came and the match was abandoned as a draw.

Fantasy Cricket Week 8 Update
Five non movers, three going down and two moving on up here we go again
with the top three scorers this week. Mal Pinfield’s “Who’s coming

reduced the gap to first by two hundred points. The mighty “Beached whale
XV” by Peter Willis has bulldozed a lot more sand out of the way as it
moves closer towards the water and the top.
Top scorer this week is Dave Forster’s “Four Star’s” whose fine four
figure total reduced the deficit between ninth and eighth, in half. For

number one, until next Tuesday at 9.30pm.

Welcome Win at Wall
The Nomads losing streak ended with a 5 wicket victory away at Wall.
The hosts started cautiously but thanks to a late flurry they reached 145

always up with the rate and positive knocks from Weir (35), Brannigan 50
not out and Hussein 26 not out helped the visitors ease to a five wicket
