November 16th, 2001, the day of the first official nLw event, Midnight Massacre, a martial artist/high flying character was created, a character by the name of Brandon Lee Mr. X-treme, the most extreme wrestler that the nLw has seen. This day tested the nLw's wrestlers abilities, it tested the love these wrestlers have for the sport, how far they are willing to go inorder to be the best, and although not in front of a live crowd, Brandon Lee and Gravedigger put on the best show the nLw still has to offer. Through all the sweat and pain, Brandon Lee came out on top this night, due to a mixture of speed and agility, a Leethal kick ended the fight, and Brandon Lee became the nLw World Champion.
After that night, Brandon Lee laid his opponents out with his devistating/highly educated feet. The night came when Brandon Lee had the chance to become both the nLw World Champion and the nLw County Champion. This match would set him off against Dan Dagon. Dagons brawling ability wasn't enough to keep Brandon Lee down, Lee was given the chance, and he struck, he struck Dagon with the Leethal kick, Lee came up with another victory. Weeks would follow and so would the victories, victories would follow until he would his toughest opponent... Torture Killer.
On February 16, 2002, Johnny Doc set the match, it would pit Brandon Lee up against the only wrestler he had not fought in the nLw, Torture Killer. Johnny Doc first set the match to be a title match, but he then raised the stakes higher for the sake of entertainment, Johnny Doc put one of these wrestler's careers on the line by making this a retirement match. Neither of these two wrestlers knew each others abilities, Brandon Lee had his speed and agility on his side, but he had not went up against a powerful submissionist as Torture Killer. Through out this match each wrestler landed crucial moves, towards the end Brandon Lee hit Torture Killer with the Leethal Kick and went for the pin, but the pin was interupted by Dan Dagon, Gravedigger, and followed by who was also believed to be Lee's partner Johnny Doc, all three wrestlers assaulted Lee, Torture Killer gave Brandon Lee a powerbomb on top of a ladder, and pinned Brandon Lee for the 1, 2, 3. Brandon Lee's career was over...
...Or at least it was thought to be, about four months went by without hearing news about Brandon Lee. Rumors then surfaced about Brandon Lee's return, weeks following that, it was official in an interview, Brandon Lee had returned, all we can assume is that Johnny Doc hired him again due to the lack of competition for Torture Killer. On July 3, 2002, Brandon Lee's music hit and out he came, Brandon Lee was out to seek revenge against Torture Killer, he demanded Torture Killer to get his jacked-up/overly-muscled body out there, but instead of hearing Torture Killers music, Johnny Doc's music hits and he appears. He tells Brandon Lee that Torture Killer already has a match, but Lee can fight Gravedigger tonight, but he ensures Brandon Lee will once again face off against Torture Killer. Brandon Lee vs. Gravedigger appears in its classic old glory as it once did 8 months before, this time it seemed not to over its edge it once did. Brandon Lee came out on top this night, but this would be Brandon Lee last official match in the nLw.
A few weeks after his return match Brandon Lee announced he was hanging up his tights, his official statement why, "I haven't wrestled in 5 months... I just can't wrestle anymore". The nLw character, known as Brandon Lee is no more, now all that is left are pictures, movies and the Legend known as Brandon Lee, Mr. X-treme.
Torture Killer has his own reason for the retirement of Brandon Lee. "Brandon Lee is washed-up, he isnt the best anymore, he and I both know that I am. He couldn't beat me the first time, and he surely knows he couldn't beat me now. Retiring himself was his best move, because if he would have stepped back into the ring with me, not only would I have ended his career a second time, I would have ended his life."
