Last Stand
Description
The neo-nazi division of
HARM led by Angeika Grausam has arranged to buy nuclear weapons on the black
market. It’s up to agent Archer to
determine the locations the two nukes will be picked up and stop HARM’s evil
plans. The clock is ticking – the elite
Black Fist Commandos are on their way to assist Frau Grausam, so Archer had
better recover the nukes before they arrive.
This is a
single player add-on. It has new skins,
new dialog, six new levels, and an introduction movie. The total play time is about 2 hours if you
can play right through it. The
difficulty is very hard so it should be played on the normal setting for a
challenging game. I tried to play it on
super-spy and I don’t think it can be finished on that difficulty setting.
There are
several types of gameplay in the missions as well. There is a motorcycle map, some sneaking around, boss fights, and
some all out war against an army of HARM schleps.
Background
I started messing with
AI as I was making some traps for Funhouse_DM, but they don’t work in
multi-player. Therefore, I thought
about making a single player map with the stuff I had figured out. Last Stand started off just as the map “The
Hoard”. Then I thought about using the
old maps I made as single player maps, but I couldn’t think of a story that would
connect Wannalacit Mill, the attacking army from The Hoard, and a
funhouse. So the project grew from
there.
I also
figured out how to make terrain maps really quickly so that’s how “Off Road
Rage” and “Counter-Attack” got in there.
Both of those maps took me about 2 weeks to make.
