Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

These are some of my babies that have already gone to wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge

This is my Raider I had him for a little over 15 yrs. One morning I was leaving for school
when I opened the back door to go out there he stood. Raider and 2 of his sisters.
My Uncle had found them and brought them home and they found their way
next door to our house. It was love at first site. Raider was the smartest dog I have every
had the privilege of sharing my heart with. He was my
big baby .. he loved his veggies and is shown here eating his
favorite a big fat juicy carrot.

This is my Pookie.. I adopted him when he was only 8 weeks old
he lived to the ripe ole age of 16 yrs. He was his mommy's baby and I am
still not over loosing him .... He will always be in my heart.

My Joe Kitty like Raider picked us to be his humans. He appeared one hot afternoon
skin and bones his eyes barely open... ears not even standing up yet. We fed him and
even though it took weeks for him to trust us enough to let us touch him, he
became a member of our family. Like Raider he stayed with us till the end.
He was 15 when he went to the Rainbow Bridge.
I'm sure that Joe, Pookie, and Raider are all playing together waiting for the rest of their
family to join them at the Rainbow Bridge.
