The Oak Ridge Boys on Imus in the Morning: -- The Boys venture out in New York

What a great show.  The Oaks exhibited the true meaning of professionalism, since as the music started to play for the Boys to sing Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight only Duane could hear the music.  After they stopped the music and prepared to start over again.  While Joe joked that Duane could sing the whole thing, William Lee said we can do it, and Duane chimed in they can just follow me.  Boy did they and they sounded wonderful in the process.

This was the first time I have heard Angels Watching Over Me, what a wonderful song, and great new arrangement.  I loved it when Joe sang his part in the middle and as he hit a high note he added GOOD MORNING.  That was so funny.  They finished up with Bobbie Sue Richard shook the rafters as usual.

It was a great show and the guys looked and sounded wonderful, even at that awful hour of the morning (can you tell I am not a morning person).  I can hardly wait for Joes take on the trip to the Big Apple and to see his pictures check out Joe's recounts of the trip

The Boy Scouts of America will award The Oak Ridge Boys the Silver Buffalo Award for distinguished service to youth on June 1, in Boston, MA. This award is Scouting's highest commendation for the contributions outstanding Americans make on a national level to youth.

"All of The Oak Ridge Boys have so much love and respect for the Boy Scouts of America. We consider our years as spokesmen for the organization one of the highlights of our career," says Oak Ridge Boy Joe Bonsall. "The honor, ideals, principles, and integrity taught to our nation's youth through Scouting are more important than ever to the future of America."

For more than 90 years, the Boy Scouts of America has been the nation's foremost youth program of character development and value-based leadership training. The result is a program of exciting and meaningful activities that encourages youth to pursue their special interests, make new friends, develop leadership skills, and give back to the community.
