 Lotus Festival Juried Art Exhibit, Los Angeles, CA

July 13, 14, and 15, 2007

 

The mission of the Lotus Festival is to develop, promote and create an atmosphere of understanding in which Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Southern California are brought together for  cultural sharing. The Festival also seeks to preserve and enlighten the public with a sampling of distinctly different and unique Asian and Pacific Islander culture and traditions.

Acclaimed actress CCH Pounder, from NBC's ER,  Fox's The X-Files, and the FX hit series The Shield purchased  two of my paintings above (Light Study Self Portrait and Young Monks)  at the Lotus Festival in Los Angeles, CA.  "Young Monks" received the 1st Place award for best in show at the event. CCH is also  the owner of  the art gallery Pounder Kone Art Space in Atwater Village, Los Angeles.
